Dexter 10/2 *spoilers*

Oh my god am I happy it is back!!

1.  Bautisa and Laguardia divorced?  That came kinda out of left field.

2.  Quinn better not end up going back to as* Quinn because I really want to like him...although Deb's reaction was less than thrilled.

3.  "Hammer Time", both times, made the episode.  Both the dancing and the hammer attack lol.

4.  I just saw a preview for a new Tim Allen TV show and Harrison is in it...last man standing or something.  That makes me nervous!

Re: Dexter 10/2 *spoilers*

  • Looks like this season is going to be A-mazing (as usual).

Curious about how they are going to link all of this religious aspect - and what's the deal with Batista's sister? She's like a live-in nanny or something? I was surprised that he and Laguardia are divorced now too. At first I thought I missed something from last season.

I still can't get over Rita's death. I can't believe I am still even thinking about it. Every time they show flashbacks from that episode my shocked feelings come back all over again. (I know it was forever ago now, but I've never been so hung up over the death of a character on a TV show!)

  • The writers were explaining before the show started tonight that this season will be all about religious exploration for Dexter now that he's a father and has to think about that for Harrison.

LOVED Hammer Time, his dancing was adorable-it was fun to see the lighter side of him.

Colin Hanks and his mentor have the makings of great villains. I don't know if they will be able to top John Lithgow, but the previews of the upcoming season were just insane--all of the religious imagery is extra spooky.

I'm glad Angel and LaGuerta divorced--I guess that kind of happened the same way their marriage did-out of the blue. I never cared for that story line so I'm happy about that. I'm guessing the writers decided that angle wasn't working out and I'm glad they reversed it--I want the fun loving, awesome Angel back. Glad we'll be seeing more of him this season with his sis as the nanny and him as the new Lt.

  • I really liked the season premier! Colin Hanks freaked me out last night....I think he might rival John Lithgow too.

For some reason I thought it was cute when the popular guy asked Dexter who taught him how to play football and he said his Dad.

Does LaGuerta have a dark side? I believed they talked about her past in season 1 or season2 but I wonder if we will see more of that this season.

  • The stomach snakes were so gross. The whole mannequin/horse thing next weeks looks even worse. How do they come up with this stuff?

Obviously the shooting at the bar is going to have ramifications for Deb and Quinn because they showed multiple witnesses taping it on their phone.

I don't know what to think of Angel's sister. Maybe it's just me, but they seemed strangely flirtatious.

I am still bummed that Dexter just let Astor and Kody move away. I was really hoping they would move back in with him.

The horses at least seemed kind of end-of-times to me. It reminded me of that section in Revelation that talks about the four horsemen of death or something. It's been years since I've even been near a Bible though, so that could just be me making stuff up.

I think Angel's sister is into Dexter and he's just not picking up any clues. The whole being half-naked, offering to stay late for no reason thing tells me she'd like to move in and take care of Harrison permanently.

The beginning freaked me out! I was so confused about how he let a victim stab him and then he just called the authorities like it was no big deal.

  • no surprise here that i loved it. i was glued to the TV and yelled at my dog when she barked because i wanted no interruptions. lol.

the snake/stomach thing was SO creepy...i figured i would have horrible dreams last night but i was good :)

im wondering what happens with quinn and deb. if she does say yes (although it seems she wont) dexter was not happy with quinn being an uncle. so i wonder what dexter will do about that?

i loved the scenes at the reunion. him dancing was adorable. and then the scene in the classroom- LOL

angel's sister is weird. dont really know what to think about that one.

i cant wait for this season. everyday needs to be sunday! ha

side note- i dont think michael c hall is hot. but i find dexter insanely hot. weird?

yeah, i'm pretty sure its from revelations. there was a quote that was said...can't remember who said it but it was straight from the bible. i was thinking it was a quote from before revelations though. but, the symbolism is def taken right from the Bible.

Remember how they were talking about the seven headed serpent?  They're also putting the alpha and omega symbolism on everything.  It's end times stuff with the four horsemen of the apocolypse and the Anti-Christ.  They're definitely slapping us in the face with it!

I do absolutely adore the series, and I'm so happy Dexter is back!  We got a body count of 4 in the first episode!  Welcome back old Dexter.  :)

  • My husband and I are on the West Coast but due to having satellite, we watched this at 6pm instead of 9pm Big Smile.

Loved the season opener, parts of it were kind of weird but I thought it was good. The hammer time part (both times) were hilarious. can't wait for next week's episode.

  • I thought Dexter was getting a little sloppy with choosing his victim this week.  Granted the wife having blood under her fingernails meant she and the husband fought, but it seemed a leap to go straight from there to him killing her.  Maybe they fought and she got despondent and killed herself.  He turned out to be right, but it still seemed a little half-assed for Dexter.

The mannequin thing looks freaky. as. hell.

I also wonder what the deal was with all the cameraphones, besides the fact that people are stupid.  I wonder if Deb will become a "local hero," because I don't think there was any way they could skew it that there was something improper about the shooting.

I agree that it seemed like Dexter had no real proof that the guy killed his wife. Wasn't that one of Harry's rules?

I am assuming that the shooting videos will be publicized and Debra or Quinn might become one of Colin Hank's targets?

Possible since the guy who washed ashore had the intestines missing and the were on the scene of that murder earlier at the fruit stand.

I feel the same way!  When they were showing what happened in previous seasons I was hoping that they wouldn't show her again...I can't take seeing it!

I must have read a spoiler about the divorce because I was not surprised at all.  I thought it had happened last season but everyone that I was watching with had no idea.

Harry seemed to be in weirder places this episode....like cheering him along the sidelines of the football game.

On a somewhat related note,  my brother was watching the episode with us and he has never seen Dexter before.  He thought it was really strange and creepy in the scene where Harry was talking to Dexter in the bathroom.

I think the religious aspect this season will be interesting.  I'm looking forward to next Sunday (but dreading it at the same time because it's Sunday!).

  • I get the feeling they're going to kill Quinn off this season. Maybe that's just wishful thinking, though.

Colin Hanks is going to be fantastic. Certainly not John Lithgow fantastic, but he's still got the creep factor going on. When my husband and I watched the snake part, I told my husband that I felt like I was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer instead of Dexter. "Are they trying to end the world? That's lofty."

Love, love, loved seeing the lighter side of Dex. I laughed my butt off throughout the reunion, especially the classroom encounter. haha

Looks like it's going to be an incredible season.

  • I'm pretty sure LaGuerta & Angel were having problems by the end of last season.

    Loved hammer time as well.

I hate Deb and I cannot believe she is going to do that to Quinn. She was all gaga over Ice Truck killer but can't love this dude like that? Come on!!!!! I normally hate the guy who plays Quinn but I like him in this show. I hope she says yes but I think she isn't

  • I am so happy that Dexter is back on! I was surprised at the beginning with the ambulance workers. I thought surely he wasn't stabbed and someone got away. I don't like that the Captain and the Lt. randomly got divorced. I hope that Deb says yes to whatshisface.

  • For some reason the premiere didn't really pull me in like previous seasons have- the introduction of who I presume are this seasons villains just didn't seem creepy to me (their scenes were a bit too short maybe). But I think there is a lot of potential and good things coming :)
