Happy Monday?
The Premier is visiting our plant today (head of the Provincial government, maybe the equivalent of your governor?) but is apparently not even coming into the office area. For all I know he could be gone already.
This weekend was interesting. I spent most of it with crazy irritated sinuses. I think I've blown my nose about 8 million times and sneezed about 4 million times. It's really getting annoying. I think it's time to bust out the sinus rinse.
How is everyone today?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Good Morning!
Raynes- Hope you feel better.
This weekend was a great one other than the sad funeral we had to attend on Saturday. The weather here is amazing and DH was off work. We got so much cleaning and relaxing done.
Today I am doing some laundry. Probably enjoying a nice long walk, if the weather co-operates. I am planning on making a trip to the gym while B is at his evening class.
Morning! We had a pretty eventful weekend, topped off with some good news (see ticker). Saturday DH played football with friends, and I did about 3 hours of schoolwork. Yesterday we went to a local bar to watch football, then when we got home we decorated for Halloween.
Hope you feel better raynes, and hope everyone has a good week.
EEEEEE!!! Congrats!!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
rayne779- congrats!!
Congrats Rayne!
The weekend was a pretty good one. B and I were in Vegas for Rosh Hashanah, and had a blast hanging by the pool, seeing Elton John, and just enjoying Vegas. Last night, I took a very long flight to DC, caught up with a friend for a super late dinner, and am now in the office bright and early. I'm looking forward to meeting all the people in our office today, but am especially looking forward to my GTG with Susi and Reba this evening.
Hope everyone has a happy Monday.
raynes -hope you feel better
raynes779- CONGRATULATIONS! YAY!
My weekend was great. Much needed time with DH. I must share what I did Saturday night. We called it an early night so I am walking up my walkway, I slipped fell on my arse/back and feet up in the air. Yup great visual! DH then comes out to help me up (it has been raining for a few days), and as he steps down, he falls on his arse too. Best part is I hadn't been drinking, and DH had only had a couple of drinks. I tell you it must have been a sight to see! Thankfully I only walked away with a few good bruises and a little tenderness.
Well off to work on claims. Have a great day ladies!
Congratulations Rayne! That's awesome.
My husband was super cranky on Sunday and it totally rubbed off on me. He's struggling with his latest CGA course (advanced accounting), and it's the first time he's had trouble with material and he doesn't know how to deal with it. Bah.
I made another batch of pumpkin scones last night (recipe now up on the blog), and man, are they ever tasty. They literally took 5 minutes to come together.

Congrats rayne!!
Hmm. Not much going on today but we might need to go grocery shopping. We never made it yesterday... too lazy. Also, I think we might need to shop for work clothes for V. He's spent far too long living and working as a student, lol.... he has like, 1 suit that he wears for weddings.

Oh Kats, ouch! Too funny that you both fell, I did the same fall once in the middle of a snowstorm crossing Market Street in Philly (like the main busy street), I was sooo embarassed!
Wkd was alright, didn't do too much. Every time I tried to do something (cleaning/yardwork) I just made myself exhausted, so I napped most of the weekend and watched the Phils. Not much going on today, have zero motivation now that work is sorta a joke for the next 7 months.

Congrats rayne! So exciting!
DH came home last night after being gone a few days, so I just caught up with him and watched some tv. I really need to work out plans for Berlin this weekend, but it's taking a lot longer than I expected.
There's a lot of stuff going on both at work and at home and I'm feeling a bit stressed at the moment. I need to find a way to relax. I had hoped the gym would help but I just can't make it there often enough.

Congrats, rayne!
Nothing much going on over here--it's super quiet at work since I got all my busy work done on Friday. Oops. Just whiling away the hours before my GTG with reba and Neptoon!
@ raynes - pregnancy can cause that. Link here.
Yesterday we went shooting, which was fun. Sunday was a much better day than Saturday.
This morning I had to go by the RE's office for another follow-up blood test. It was a mad house in there and it took them 35 minutes to call me. I was still the first person in this morning, even though I was 15 minutes late.
I have a ton of work to do this week - a grant report, two grant applications and more work for the October 15th event, but I'm not really looking forward to doing any of it. I am looking forward to having drinks/dinner with SusiOT and NeptoonGirl this evening.
ETA: rayne779 - Congratulations!

We had a good weekend. Friday night we met up with some friends for dinner and drinks. Saturday we had the market in the morning. It was a cold start to the day. I think the temperature was around 37 when we got there. I'm not ready for that yet, especially when I have to sit outside in it for extended periods of time. After the market was football and tailgating.
Yesterday I did quite a bit of work around the house and got the laundry caught up. Today feels like a typical Monday. I'm absolutely exhausted. I've been sleeping like crap for the past several nights. I keep having nightmares and then waking myself up and staying awake for hours before I can fall asleep again. I don't remember the last time that I had nightmares for an extended period of time like this, but I'm hoping that they come to an end soon.
Congrats, Rayne!
I'm so sleepy today. I can't wait to get home and go back to bed. We had fantastic weather and a couple of good hikes over the weekend. Plus some tri-tip on the smoker and football. I love fall.
Have a great day, everyone!
Yay Rayne!
EHayes* I have no idea how I'd even get myself to work every morning, knowing it was short-term. Hopefully the experience there gets you an amazing job afterwards.
abarber* Try falling asleep with the radio on or a funny TV show. I've suffered from night terrors and nightmares since I was a little kid. This is the only thing that has helped.
Our weekend was great as far as sleep and such, until last night. OMG! Jackson was up every 2 hours, if not less. We're both exhausted today, so I stayed in bed a bit longer this morning and came to work late. We also have the gimpy dog in her cast at home that is making life a bit interesting. Hopefully tonight goes better.
Awesome.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Congrats Rayne!! H&H 9 months to you!
My weekend was jam packed leaving me exhausted today. My cousin and her H were in town from Kansas for a wedding and stayed with us Friday and Saturday night. On Saturday we took them to the Coors Brewery for a tour and tasting, then we took them for a drive up to the mountains and had dinner in Breckenridge.
Sunday I did the Race for the Cure 5k walk then I went to breakfast with mom and a few of her friends that we did the race with. After that I went shopping and got a ton of cute work clothes.
Congrats Rayne
This weekend was hectic. I took my test on Friday. I feel so-so about it. So many of the questions were very situational and no very black or white. I get design is subjective but some of the questions were just weird.
Saturday was great. We went to the Petit Le Mans race. It was so much fun. I also got to drive on another race track in an mx-5 it was so cool. I want to take racing classes now.
Rayne779 - Congrats!
We had a busy weekend. Saturday we ran our errands early then headed downtown for some wine tasting, dinner and to see Jerry Seinfeld live.
Sunday I slept in a bit - then we headed to the Seahawks game with some clients of DH's. It was a good game. The rain held off until we got on a bus home, then we got hit with a downpour on the walk to the house.
Weather is definitely turning here, I turned on the fireplace for the fist time last night.
And...DH and I decided we're going on a trip to Lithuania and Russia in April!
rayne779 - congrats! So excited for you.
We had another super busy weekend. We were only home for a handful of hours the entire weekend and I didn't get to do any of the usual housework. I'm starting to feel so overwhelmed with housework I'm considering hiring a cleaning lady.
Nothing too exciting over here today. I'm going to WW after work, then stopping by Target to pick up some essentials. I'm hoping my mom makes a healthy dinner so I can just eat there. I have baskets of laundry to fold and put away but I'll likelly wait until LO's is in bed so I don't give up my quality time with her. Have a good day everyone.
Thanks for the advice, snoopy. I will definitely give this a try.
rayne - awesome news, congrats!
Last night I was exhausted and went to bed at 9:45pm. Then, I was up at midnight until 2am. I have no idea what's going on but it's frustrating because now I'm really tired.
Work was a typical, hectic Monday. I ended up having to put in half an hour overtime and now I'm too tired to go to the gym which makes me sad. DH wants english muffin pizzas for dinner but I think I just want leftover soup from last night. Then it's over to our friends' house to watch last night's episode of Breaking Bad. Next week is the season finale an I can't wait!
Good Evening. It has been a rough couple days. I learned some info on my step-FIL on Friday that my H had known about since May and he and MIL agreed that I shouldn't know. I learned while talking about family that is not allowed to come to the hospital after surgery to visit while we were at our pre-op appointments on Friday. It turns out that SFIL sexually assaulted 2 of his 3 daughters when they were younger. I was pissed at H because this is something that I should have known about especially with a young child involved. He said they didn't want to tell me to protect me.
H and I had a long talk Saturday night about why I should have been included in this. He has been beating himself up ever since and feels terrible. He understands that he will have to regain my trust. I'm really stressed and have constant nightmares about the surgery coming up on Friday. I'm trying to be positive it is just very hard.
