My mother in law passed away on Saturday (DH and I were there when she took her final breath) and her wake is on Wednesday, service on Thursday.
I brought 2 pair of dress pants and 2 sweaters. A lot of people that are going Wed night are also going on Thursday. The one sweater is a bit tight around the back (soft blue color). I can either deal with that sweater or wear the other sweater twice (soft salmon color).
WWYD?
My other option is to go buy another sweater but when I looked yesterday found nothing I liked. The first pair of dress pants are a charcol black/grey and the other is a brown plaid w/ salmon in it.
Re: funeral outfit help
i'm sorry about your MIL
good thoughts to you, DH, & DH's family.
i would probably go see about a darker colored sweater or maybe even a black or gray dress. i doubt anyone will notice if you wear the same sweater twice though. i would just want to be as comfortable.
I'm so sorry to hear of her passing but glad it happened surrounded by those that loved her.
Ditto pp. I know it's a pain to run around shopping right now but I'd probably try to find a black or grey skirt/dress or a top I felt more comfortable in that made sense for the occasion.
I'm sorry too.
Ditty cheeky though. You could even wear a button down or something you already have instead of going back out.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
As for funeral clothes, I'd feel more comfortable in dark/black as I'd less likely stick out than with a light colored sweater.
