What's new this week ladies? How are you feeling?
I had my first OB appointment on Friday. I had the pleasure of getting a pelvic exam since it's my first time there. I really didn't want to get a pap since I just had one in May, but the nurse was like, we're just going to do some cultures, and then informed me that it was a q-tip on my cervix. Sure sounds like a pap to me!!!! If I get charged for that because my insurance won't cover it since I already had one this year, I'm going to flip out!!
The nurse and doctor both seemed pretty nice. Although, the doctor had a c/s scheduled at noon, so he had to leave and I barely got to talk to him. I need to make a list of questions to ask at my next appointment. My next appointment is 10/21 and we find out the sex 11/17. I'm kinda disappointed that it's so far away.
Nothing has really changed in the symptom department.
Re: Bump Check-In
From what I have heard, it is just standard to do a pap at the first prenatal visit.
I am just waiting around for something to happen with one week until my due date. As of last Wednesday, I was still only 1.5 cm dilated and no noticeable contractions. I have an appointment on Wednesday so I am sure she will discuss inducing if Pumpkin decides to continue his stay much longer. I really would rather him come on his own so I hope we do not get to that point but the latest my doctor will let me go is 41 weeks.
