Baby News- Updated with birthing story
Hunter Fillmore was born on October 1, 2011 at 10:16 am-- 6 lbs 14oz and 21 inches long.
I'll post the full birth story later.
Thanks for all your help ladies!
Update:
Friday afternoon I had my weekly appointment. I wasn't dilated anymore, so my OB scheduled me to be induced on Tuesday Oct. 4 (tomorrow). She wanted me to head over to the hospital for a Non-Stress Test just to make sure the monster was ok. He passed with flying colors, however my blood pressure skyrocketed while I was there. They wouldn't let me leave until it dropped. An hour later, it hadn't dropped so they said "change of plans, you are here, your overdue, we are just going to induce tonight. No point in waiting". So I waddled over to a delivery room to get changed. This was about 3:00pm.
The plan was to give me Cervidil to soften my cervix and I got it around 9:30 pm. It had to sit for 12 hours before they could give me the Pitocin to start the actual labor. However, around 2:00am I started having really bad contractions so they had to take it out. I was given benedryl to help me sleep and something for the pain. Around 5am my water broke. My cervix was checked and I was told I was still only like a cm or two dilated. At 6am I had my bloody show and was given more pain medication, but it wasn't helping at all. At 9am my contractions were really strong and about 2-3 minutes apart. I told the nurse I wanted to use the bathroom to poop, and she wanted to check me first. At that point I was fully dilated and the feeling of having to use the bathroom was actually the baby heading down the canal.
I asked about an epidural, but I wasn't told there wasn't even enough time for a local anestetic. I was PISSED. A nurse grabbed one leg, JEGs grabbed another leg and I started pushing. Twenty five minutes later, Hunter was born.
My blood pressure continued to be super high after the birth, so I was given magnesium sulfide and a catheter for 24 hours. That is the most miserable stuff on the plant. I felt like I had the flu and could not leave the hospital bed for 24 hours straight. I couldn't breastfeed, I couldn't change him-- nothing. All I could do was sit in bed and sleep. JEGs was such a super star though. He took care of all of the feedings, changings, rocking him to sleep, and has been such an amazing help with me trying to breastfeed now that I am feeling better. I didn't think it was possible, but I have fallen even more in love with this man.
I didn't get my drugs and I didn't get my September baby, but let's be honest-- nothing about this pregnancy has been well planned
I love this little man so much, I wouldn't trade anything about it for the world.

Congrats, was wondering when these babies were making their entrances!
Congrats! Super cute name, glad he is here and all is okay.
That stuff is awful. I had the exact same thing. Possibly the 24 worst hours of my life. Hope the blood pressure is okay now.
My cousin had to have the magnesium sulfide and she said it was death
Her and I had BP issues at the end of our pregnancies and we never had BP issues before. We both had high BP after delivering and we both had to go on meds for it so make sure you keep an eye on it!
