Hi girls!
I lurk all the time but can't (or haven't figured out!) how to post from my Droid.. but the laptop is fixed (yay!) so I'll be around more. Saw the post below, thanks for thinking of me!
Elise Vivian was born September 24th at 11:04pm. Scheduled c-section which was a complete and total breeze! 9lbs 10oz's and 19.75 inches. Beat her brother by an ounce!
Unfortunately within 1.5 hours of being born her blood sugar dropped dramatically (pretty normal in small or big babies) and she had to spend 11 hours in the NICU. Absolutely devestating, I don't know how Mom's go through days, weeks with their babies up there. My heart goes out to them.
She tested great after her stay there and spent the remainder of the 3 days with us. She's a total sweetie, nurses like a champ and so far sleeping well.. though we're only 8 days in so *knock wood* Big brother was NOT happy at first.. I think it had more to do with the hospital setting being intimidating and me having an IV, etc. But as soon as we brought her home he's been really into her, making sure she has everything she needs. The adjustment has been really easy so far, but DH has been home... he goes back to work Wed so the real test begins.
Here's a few pics:

I *think* if you just put the two picture codes next to each other without any <br> or without anything between them, they will go side by side (at least if there is room)

Baby Sister is coming soon!
Aww congrats again! She is just perfect. Why did they schedule your section so late at night? I'm most likely have a RCS and had Ava later at night so I had to stay 3 nights and hated it so I want to do it in the morning and only stay two....of course this is based off of everything being ok.
So sorry she had to spend time in the NICU...I wouldn't know what to do either.
She looks so much like Noah did as a baby in the pic with your H!
oops...meant am!!
We actually ended staying 3 nights anyway... My OB suggested it. It's nice to have the extra help and sleep (nurses took her to nursery then brought her back every few hours to eat) and time to recover before we went home.
She does look a ton like her brother... soon as she came out my DH said "OMG, it's a feminine Noah!" ha!
Thanks!! And good luck to you. My RCS was a freaking breeze... so amazing how much easier it was this time to recover from.
I was just so restless but we'll see...this go round I'm not having H stay the night (that will be the only way for my MIL not to be able to take care of Ava haha) and I do want her to have some normalcy in the big change so I may I guess we'll see.
I guess I'm most worried about running after her while healing but I had such a great experience with my first section that I guess I'm not scared so it's good to hear you did as well!
