I need local apples

I had some last week but my mom brought them to me, and I need to find some more around here. They were so delicious. Grocery store apples just aren't going to cut it. Anyone know where I can get some local apples around AA, PG, or Howard County?

  • I agree with you.... I have been going to the local orchard up here for them.  They are wonderful.

  • I just picked almost 40 pounds of Mutsu and Ida Reds at Larriland last weekend. They're so good.
  • We go to Larriland Farms too, planning on going this weekend.

Do you have to pick them yourself there or do they sell them to you directly?

You can do both. Picking apples is super quick though. My Mom and I picked that much in literally 5 minutes. They also have pumpkins, delicious apple fritters and kids stuff (haunted barn, hay rides, etc...). It would be a fun family weekend trip.

If you don't want to pick, you can buy everything at the barn.  But we usually make a fun day of it and go with our niece, pick apples, pumpkins, and broccoli right now (it's delicious fresh).  They have activities for kids on weekends too.

  • The Farmer's Market at Oakland Mills has a farmer that grows all sorts of apples/fruits. It's on Sundays from 9-1

  • LARRILAND!  I love that place.

We'll also be there this weekend but not sure when.  They have tons of apples already picked in the barn if you don't want to PYO.

  • Ok-maybe I will be making a trip to Larriland. Sounds like DS might like it too. thanks everyone.

We're going next weekend. We go every year and the kids love the hay maze and we go on the hayride and get food and cider. It's fun!!
