Hey ladies. I need your opinion/advice.
I'm fixing to start another job, where I'm working from home, and I can make my own hours. I was wondering, should I still put in a 2 weeks notice at my current job, since I'm hardly getting any hours, if so, what should I say to the store manager about why I'm leaving?
I've never been good with confrontation, and would she just probably tell me to not bother finishing my 2 weeks? TIA ladies.
Re: Job question
Always give 2 weeks notice, never burn bridges.
Just turn in a written notice, you don't have to explain why or for what reason you are leaving.
I am a big stickler about giving two weeks no matter what as you never know when you might need a contact again or when you might be in a situation where you need this person to give you a good reference.
If you can make your own hours and work from home then going in for a few hours over the next two weeks shouldn't be too big of a deal.
Dear (boss name),
Please allow this letter to serve as notice of me vacating my position at (Company Name). My last day of availability will be (whatever date your last day will be.) Thank you for the opportunity you have provided over the last (however long you have worked there.)

Me too! Two weeks notice would be a good call.

I agree always do two weeks, use this template or even google. You do not need to give a reason but you need to give ample notice. Many times if they arent giving you hours they may just say you can leave effective immediately once you turn in your notice.
