Boooored. Roll call.

Who's here? What's everyone doing? More importantly, why is it so quiet?

Re: Boooored. Roll call.

  • I'm here.

I'm trying to explain to management that a 42 slide presentation is not necessary for what they are doing.

  • I'm trying to do three jobs at the same time. I mean, it's all the same employer, but I'm wearing three different hats...

... which is why I don't have much time for nesting lately.

  • I'm here. I swear I read more than I post on this board because by the time I get to threads they're already dead or about to be dead...

I'm trying to convince myself to go to the gym. I started C25K yesterday and everything from my ribs down aches...

It's a great school if you aren't looking for a small campus experience. The faculty is great and the class choices are really varied and interesting.

I really loved my experience there and had a great time.

It is easy to get lost in the shuffle because the school is so big, but if you aren't totally oblivious to what you need to be doing, you'll be fine.

What are you thinking about going for?

ETA: Amanda's there for grad school now, so you might want to talk to her about how things are now. It's been about 7 years since I graduated and I heard that things have changed with admissions, but I'd still highly recommend it.

  • i'm here. been slammed all day (and will be again soon)...i keep checking  into this board with no change.

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

Thanks! I actually went to a school in a small town in NC for undergrad. I really loved it, so I'm not sure how I'd feel about a bigger school.

I'm not sure what I want to go back for yet. I have tons of interests, and I'm taking my time trying to narrow it down first - my top choices would be something where I could be a counselor or life coach, marketing, or something to do with animals, preferably dogs or bigger animals (not in that order).

well, I will say that grad school definitely feels smaller than undergrad - I mean, there are 8 people in my year and the department really does feel like a family.  Totally different experience from undergrad where you are one of thousands.  Some of the programs are bigger (obviously the medical school, nursing etc), but the things you are thinking of are probably small.

  • I just got back from cleaning, and now I'll be around for a bit until I have to get H to take him to his Dentist appointment. This is when I hate only having one car!!!
