It's an organized trip through the same group we went to South Africa with. DH and I only do organized trips to places we wouldn't go on our own.
that's really cool....what kind of organized trip is it? is it through a school, church, work, specific traveling company?

It's arranged by Earthbound Expeditions. Earthbound arranges these trips for KPLU (the local NPR station.) KPLU's general manager and others from the station attend as well. They try to tie their trips to music events. We went to a Jazz Festival in S. Africa and this time it's a Jazz and Blues festival in Lithuania.
So we know at least 3 other people that will be on this trip, if not more, since reservations just started. KPLU will be announcing it to the general public next week.
I had heard before what a nightmare it was for travel within Africa and from what I saw when I was there it was right. Lack of public transportation and the like. As far as Lithuania and Russia, they actually aren't on our list of "must sees" so we'd probably never go out of our way to go otherwise.
