New Project
I'm getting all of my tattoos removed 
Previously had 5 in total, but had two removed from the back of my neck because of the Air Force. Now, over the last couple months, I've been thinking about getting rid of the rest of them. So I took action this morning...had the first treatment done on one of three Each tattoo should take between 5-10 treatments to remove. It's going to cost a stupid amount of money, but the payoff is SO great. Free and clear!

Re: New Project
They totally go away. It's a laser treatment -- a specific kind called a YAG laser. The laser targets the ink in the skin and 'burns' it, causing it to raise to the surface and evaporate as it heals, leaving no scars.
The two on my neck took a total of eight treatments. They're totally gone, aside from a couple, light specks. I would've had a final treatment done, but I moved and didn't have a place to go for treatments anymore. Speaking to the PA today, she said she would take care of those for free.

Pain sucks. It really hurts as it's being done and sometimes while healing, it's just very tender. I have an ice pack on right now to help with the heat. Prior to the next treatment, I'll use a topical numbing cream that I received today.

Just happens to coincide, really. I wanted to get rid of 'em...and that runs parallel to wanting to convert as well

Pain's not toooo bad right now, just awkward 'cause it's just below my belly button, so I can't close my pants right now, lol.
I've just started talking to a rabbi about converting to Judaism
Wow! Good luck with the process... hope it's not too painful/long!
And, FWIW, you're one step closer to being my H's dream-girl... he's got a totally irrational thing against tattoos (I can't poke too much fun, I feel the same way about piercings).
It makes no "logical" sense, but somethings are just turn-offs-- his are tats, mine are piercings. God help us if we ever have kids...the world being as ironic as it is, we'll end up with tat'd, pierced up monsters by 10!
