I am moving to a new state in two weeks. A month or so ago, I applied for a job out there, and last Tuesday I got a message from her. She said she was leaving for the day, and would not be in the office the following day (Wednesday), and asked for me to call her back on Thursday or Friday. I called her Thursday, and left a message with a secretary. She didnt call me back, so I called again on Friday morning. I was told she was in a meeting, I asked for her voicemail, and left a message for her (the message was just "this is JillyWtP, returning your phone call, you can call me back at xxx") She called me back (she sounded friendly and not bugged or anything, apologized for playing phone tag)- I was with a client and couldnt answer, by the time I was able to call her back she was not around, so I left another message on her voicemail.
I know Mondays are pretty busy days for most people, so I called a little after lunch time and left a message with the secretary again. I am not sure if the secretary is giving her the messages or not. So I called about 430 her time and left a message on her voicemail basically stating I am still interested in the job, I know Mondays are probably busy. I let her know I would be availible all day tomorrow (stopped working at old job Friday), and I would call back near the end of the day if I didnt hear from her.
I am a total over-thinker about things like this - I dont want to bug her too much and be overly annoying, but I also dont want to miss out on an opportunity because she went on to other people who she was able to get in contact with.
Long story short- how often is too often to call her? twice a day? how long should I play phone tag with her?
