I will confess that I will fast forward to a certain part of the movie because Ryan Gosling is hot. Also I would perfer to watch it alone without DH.

I just like it because of the combo of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Love them both.
As a totally random sidenote, the fact that Ryan Gosling is in like, four movies this year makes me giddy beyond belief.
Therefore, avoid the book, watch the movie.
Same here. I do love me some Ryan Gosling though and I thought the movie was much better, I still skip through the old people parts though!
I didn't read the book, but could see where it could be a slow read. The movie is so good though.
I read the book and remember being really mad when I finished it because I felt like I wasted my time reading it. SO BORING.
But the movie. The movie I love.
I vaguely know what it's about, but I've also never seen it or read the book. I don't have any desire to either.
