What is it with people purposely spelling things incorrectly and adding lots of extra letters? It seems to mainly be the younger kids (based off my Facebook page). It drives me nuts. I'm just curious, does anyone know what the reasoning is behind it?
Examples (from my 12 year old niece):
Noo scchool todayy wooo hooo!!!!
miss my franndss thoughh
Everything will be okayy in the endd.
If its nott okkay,
its nott the end.
; ?
Summbuddy texxt mee cuz imm borrrrreed!!!!! Pleasse!!!!!!
She's intelligent and knows the correct spellings. Is this suppose to be cool?

My 13 year old second cousin does the exact same thing. She adds extra letters to almost every word in her updates. I'm guessing it's the cool thing to do?
I ended up blocking her. I couldn't stand seeing her annoying updates every two minutes.
I did the same thing to my 13 yr old sister haha. I am a horrible speller (as you all know) so it really makes me angry when people add extra letters more than anything.
Bahaha, a 29 yo friend of mine does this when she texts. But honestly, it completely reads the way she talks. Like the multiple letters are exactly how she'll drag out words. I find it hysterical with her just because it makes me picture her talking, but overall, it's bit much in excess.
Like if someone wrote, "man, it's been a lonngggggg day" I get it, they are emphasizing long, but the examples above are way too much!

Uh yeah, that's super annoying.
Though, ringy's right. In HS my catch phrase was Stuph Rox. (as in, stuff rocks! life is awesome!). Yeah. Super lame.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
