Not *really* sure where this should go. But it is pretty crafty, so...
I have my own craft room right now. Lately, I've decided I'm way too selfish so I want to split it in half so that one side is for my crafts and the other side is for DH. I just want one stand alone wall that goes almost to the ceiling so I can put shelves on my side and chalk-board paint on his side (he works with a lot of math and uses chalk boards to write down math things).
How difficult would this be? I don't want to get in too far over my head. I thought, if I just make the wall, then I can make a simple 4-leg desk for his computer on his side and screw it into the wall so that it will have some extra support to stand up. We are renting so I can't damage the existing walls at all.
I'm planning for this to be a Christmas surprise so I do have time to really work on it and do research and such. But any thoughts/tips/links/anything would be appreciated.
TIA!
Re: anyone know anything about building things?
That's exactly what I was thinking, and IKEA Expedit bookcase.
The new issue of My Home My Style shows a great way to make it your own for a room divider.
