Tell me about Pinterest
I've heard a lot about it, but still have no clue what exactly it is.

Basically everyone 'pins' whatever they find on the internet. It's kind of like bookmarking something you love, but instead you pin it. Then you just browse pinterest (by catagory if you want) to find ideas for dinners, outfits, decor, crafting, etc. I really like it but I'm not as addicted as some! I just check it out once a day to see if there's anything awesome :-)

Yeah, like BP says, you "pin" things to your organized "boards." What's so cool about it is that you browse the internet like normal and when you see a website you like or a picture you like, you just click a button on your internet bar and it will pull up the pininterest site for you and all you have to do is pick the board you want the "pin" to be associated with and write a note if you want and it will be saved to that board for you. Examples of boards people have are, favorite books, favorite recipes, favorite quotes, Christmas ideas, ideas for the home, my style, etc.
Then once you are on pininterest and you login, you will see a feed (kind of like the facebook home page feed) of things people on pininterest have pinned recently. You can even follow friends and there boards and if you see something you like you can save it to your boards with just one click.
A very cool way to keep track of to do project, activities you would like to try with the kids, recipes you like to cook, etc.
All you need to know is that its a giant timesuck! lol!
There's an app for the iphone, so I get on it when I'm pumping

I like to search for recipes on it, also there are some pretty funny things on it that are just entertaining.
Sometimes I tag things I like and then I can see a theme that overrides it when I look at my pinboards that might have otherwise not been clear to me.
If you have any favorite bloggers, you can maybe find them on pinterest and follow them too. Like Sherry from YHL, etc. It's also a good way to find new blogs you might like to read.
I am really obsessed with it and brought it up in a conversation with some new neighbors at our block party this past weekend- they thought I was cuckoo and had never heard of it before!!
