Good Morning IN!

Good morning ladies? Happy Wednesday! What's on your agenda today?

QOTD: What were your favorite books as a child (younger than 7 or 8)?

Re: Good Morning IN!

  • Hello again! I have class until 12, I have two tests today, one in verbs and one in ?crire...yuck. I'm going over to a friend's after finishing homework this afternoon and tonight we're going to a British pub to hear a band that a boy she likes is playing in.

QOTD: The Bearenstein Bears (did I spell that right?), Clifford series, and Dr. Seuss (still live Dr. Seuss!)

  • Good Morning! :-)

It's a gorgeous day outside for once! The humidity is finally dropping :-) I'm so ready for some enjoyable temperatures so we can hang out outside!

I'm at work for the day, then this evening, I'll be baking and icing red velvet cupcakes that DH promised his class I would bake. (Let's not get into that).  I'm just looking forward to my first night this week where I actually get to go straight home and don't have any plans!

QOTD: I'll agree with Dr. Seuss, and I'm not sure what else!

  • Morning!

Just relaxing this morning and running errands this afternoon.

QOTD: Dr. Seuss books (I love reading them to M now). Anne of Green Gables (my mom used to read it to me at night).

  • It's going to be a long slow day at work today. We have a staff meeting which never starts or finishes on time. Then home to relax and only do more work if I choose. QOTD: in addition to the other books people named I like The Babysitter's Club and Amelia Bedelia.

  • Morning!  I've got to get like 6 loads of laundry done today.

QOTD:  I loved all the golden books.

  • Morning!  Not too much going on today...work and laundry.  Tonight is date night, so we're going out to dinner for that, but otherwise just a typical day!

QOTD:  Amelia Bedelia and Boxcar Children.  Loved both of those!

  • So tired today for some reason - hoping to find some energy soon because I have a bunch of work to do this morning and then I'm at a conference all afternoon.

QOTD: A lot of the ones mentioned.  We also had this collection of disney books that I loved.  I'm also trying to remember when I started reading the Sweet Valley Twins books, but might have been a bit later than 7/8.

  • Working at the library and Italian class. I only have 2.5 more weeks of classes! Woohoo! Though I'll still have two exams and two papers to write, but it will all be done within a month!

QOTD: Good question (says the librarian)! I'd just like to brag and say Golden Books started in my hometown, Racine, WI. Our neighbor was an exec for them so we got to meet someone dressed as the spotted puppy.

I love Bernenstein Bears too. And a book called The Lupine Lady. It was very pretty.

  • Good morning! Today is a pretty relax day. I'm cleaning up (like always...) since we had some people over for dinner last night. I think I might make a Tesco run - I'm out of some basics. We have an ultrasound tonight. We paid to get one done two weeks ago, and we saw a baby (measuring small) and no heartbeat, but I still feel relatively pregnant and haven't had any bleeding or spotting, so I'm hoping everything is still alright. After that we have a dinner at some friends house.

Favorite books: There was one about a dump truck and the driver went around picking up animals and they would slide about up and down as the dump truck was raised and lowered. It sounds funny now, but that was my favorite when I was little. I also loved the Boxcar Children. (that was probably closer to 8 years old).

  • Good morning.  Not much on the agenda.  Work and dinner and trying to read the local news and not cry --  the longtime Archbishop and leader of NOLA's Catholic flock passed away last Thursday and the city-wide funeral celebration is this Thursday.  I have been in tears for a couple of days now.

QOTD:  Go, Dog. Go! or anything by Richard Scarry.  They were favorite books for mom to read aloud at bedtime.

I don't mind being held to a higher standard; I mind being held to a lower one. (Sam Seaborn, The West Wing)

  • Afternoon! Not a lot going on here today. Neither D or I feel good, so it's a chill out day.

QOTD: Amelia Bedelia, Where The Wild Things Are (I still love that book and read it to D every night), the Goosebumps books (closer to 8).

  • Amwallace: Good luck at the ultrasound!

Afternoon all. This morning was, well, not great. I left work early (literally just walked out) yesterday because the stress of it was too much, and thinking about it this morning as I walked in to the office made me have a meltdown. Yeah, not great. But, I made a plan of attack and feel a lot better right now.

QOTD: I'm drawing a blank here. I didn't have a big home liabrary, but I was such a book worm that I was constantly bringing new books home from the library. I've read many of the ones listed above (except for the Golden Books), but I can't think of what my faves were.

  • Well it is already 2 here...getting on a little late.  Today I was to have a Spanish lesson, but it was cancelled...my instructor is sick.

QOTD:  I didn't really read as a child so I don't know the names of any kids books.  Sad I know.  My parents did read to us either.

  • Hi Nesties!

Coffee is my best friend today, I am still jetlagged from my flight home from the US yesterday. I cannot wait to get home and relax on the couch after work.

Before I can do all that though, I have to get through my workday, and then we're meeting up with some friends at an indoor climbing gym.

QOTD: I loved Dr. Seuss; Bearnstein bears; and Winnie the Pooh (or really anything Disney) books.

*Chelbel7* I was just about to add Amelia Bedelia! I LOVE that story - too funny when she dressed up the turkey in little clothes! Stick out tongue
