Mercedes was a giant biznatch this episode. I was really worried Rachel was going to write her name in over her own.
I liked Mike's storyline.
Overall, I thought it was a good episode.
ETA: Oh! And what is up with Mercedes hurting? She better have a tumor, because if she's pregnant I will stop watching because that would be insane.

Finally an episode worth watching. I agree that the power trips are annoying and over done, but Mercedes killed it tonight. Mike's story line was great and his singing makes me like him anymore. Emma and Shue were so sweet tonight, I hurt for her. If I remember correctly, you professional help wasn't getting anywhere because she had to clean the chair the whole time period, right? Hopefully tonight was a breakthrough for her. Her parents were cray cray, but the ginger supremacist bit was funny.
I think I miss the theme episodes too and I need more Blaine and more Artie, but other than that it was great!
Oh man, Emma's ginger supremacist parents cracked me up. That was the best part of the episode.

Loved Beiste carb loading, calling Will "Pumpkin", and explaining her injury from being upset Ace Of Cakes was cancelled. They actually made me like her again after she was so awful last week.
Mercedes is a brat. I cannot stand her. Good riddance although I am sure she will be back eventually.
I thought Rachel was the clear winner of the Diva Off. I don't care how many times they tell us Mercedes did better, it doesn't make it true.
Wished Blaine was in it more but I know he was filming a movie during this episode so hopefully he will be more present in the next episode. Kurt and Blaine on the staircase was sweet.
Rachel needs to drop out of the presidential race. She NEEDS to. Kurt is arguably one of her best friends now and it is shitty for her to run against him, especially since she ended up getting Maria after all. There is absolutely no way she would win, but still, you don't do that to a friend. It would be different if they were still season 1 Kurt and Rachel.
I am so happy Mike finally got a storyline! And we got to hear him sing twice. I teared up in the scene with his mom. Loved it all.
Will and Emma were actually pretty good this episode too, and I really haven't been liking them lately. Their last scene was really touching and I teared up again. Poor Emma.
The songs weren't that great this episode. The only one I really like was "Fix You" and that was mostly because I like the original. I preferred Javier Colon's version (on The Voice) to Will's though. I was glad we got a mix of styles and not all showtunes.
I hate that we have to wait until November for more new episodes. Especially after this underwhelming episode.

TV Line built this episode up a lot and I wasn't impressed at all. I was especially looking forward to 'Fix You' and I didn't even think that was all that great. I might be over Glee.
And probably only because I watched SYTYCD this summer and the one sister who seemed plenty healthy and active was diagnosed with it, I was thinking Mercedes might have diabetes. Or be pregnant.
Apparently the actress that plays Mercedes tweeted that Mercedes is not pregnant. She must be getting bombarded with that question, lol.
I think they just had her say all that (I'm tired, I feel sick, etc) because it fit in with the lines of the Its All Over song.
I agree with the poster above me, this was supposed to be a great episode, one of the best of Glee, and it fell flat. I love that they gave storylines to some characters we don't usually get much from, but it just didn't do much for me. This was not the way to go into a big stretch off, I'm afraid they will lose a lot of viewers due to this.

This was me too. I love that song and I was looking forward to hearing them sing it, but it didn't really impressed me. I wish it would have been longer.
I cancelled Glee from my DVR, but watched it last night so I could see Fix Me.

I am in the minority, because I thought it was great. I think the writers realized they put out complete shiit last season and they are fixing it this season.
I loved that Mercedes is finally getting her spotlight. Just like she said, she has been forced into playing background to Rachel for the past two years, and she is way better than that. Heck, even Quinn got solos before Mercedes...Mercedes is every bit as good as Rachel, and she did rock the sing-off. Rachel knew it.
I also liked that they gave Mike some character. Up until now, he has always been the happy, dancing, Asian kid...last night he had a lot more depth. Harry Shrum Jr. did some great acting. I thought he was really good with the whole internal struggle of wanting to make his Dad proud, and wanting to do what he really wanted to do. I loved the scene with his Mom, it made me tear up.
I also loved Kurts little talk to Rachel about how in 10 years, she isn't going to look back and remember the school play or being student body officer, but her friends. It is something I think only someone who has been out of high school would say, but that's ok. Rachel is back to being Rachel of Season one, and I love it.
I agree with this. I have been sick of Rachel getting everything and no one saying anything to her. I mean, she is good, but not all that. I think it would have done her some good to lose out to someone for once. And she is being horrible to Kurt, who has always been there for her.
I'm interested in where they will take the show choir thing though.

I also agree that the school officials/teachers, etc dont recognize Mercedes. I cold listen to Mercedes all day but I would turn off Rachel after a couple songs.

He got Officer Krupke. I've never seen WSS but I hear this is a nothing role with no singing and no dancing. Kind of a low blow.

I had mixed feelings about this episode.
Like others, I am really over the joining/rejoining Glee storylines. Enough already.
I was not crazy about any of the songs.
I DID like that they gave some depth to Mike, and that he had a story line. I also really liked seeing Will and Emma together (I thought the ginger supremacists thing was dumb, but I just liked seeing the two of them together).
