*Jules* and other Apple users HELP!

So, you say a Mac is very user friendly, but mine is driving me bananas with the filing system.  Let me see if I can explain the issue...

We have the latest OS on our Apple- Lion.  I have been editing photos in PSE9 and saving them to a default path that our Mac gave us which is user account/photos/iPhoto/Masters (or Preview)/and then the typical year/month/date string.  Well, when I go to upload said edited photos to mpix or photobucket or any other website for that matter and I try to browse for the photos I can't access that path.  All I can get to is user account/photos/iPhoto and then it wants to open iPhoto the actual program not the photos.  If I try to get at them going from another perspective (i.e. Events) only the original downloaded photos are there and not the edited ones.  What the heck am I doing wrong?!

After having this issue I've also tried to access and find my edited photos via Finder and I still can't get to that "Masters" or "Preview" path.  At this point I just want to move them all to a path I create b/c it is so annoying to me, but if I can't even find them in Finder to move, how am I supposed to do that?!  Please note that when I open up the Organizer that goes with PSE9 all edited photos are easily viewed there, but I can only upload from there to Flickr, FB, or smugmug.  I want to use mpix for printing, though.

We did get a year of training and I have yet to sign up for the first one, so I apologize if this is a simple fix.  Even my IT husband is having a hard time with it.  Maybe we are just still too PC brained?!

  • I figured it out thanks to a guru Apple user on GPM.  PHEW!  It's been driving me crazy.  I have to right click on iPhoto and show all to be able to see the paths.  FINALLY!
