So I had my big meeting with the CEO and HR. They basically were unwilling to budge on either issue of pay or hours, but they were willing to let me stay as a part time rep/part time rep assistant. So that's what I'm doing. Pay stays the same, I still get to work from home 4 days a week. Just have to go see clients 1-2 days a week starting in November.
The scariest thing, and the biggest reason why I wanted to stop being a rep, is that the national exam was scheduled for this December. It's basically like a mini-bar exam, all about SS disability law. If you pass it, then you qualify for direct pay from SS. If not, then you can still represent clients but you are not eligible for direct pay and you have to bill your clients which is a huge headache. So they other junior reps have formed a study group, I have a study guide, and I'm going for it. Fingers crossed that I pass!
Re: Work update
That sucks they are such sticks in the mud! However, at least you get to be at home 4 days week still, so, that's good!

I'm just going to take the test and see what happens. Honestly, being a rep for the company isn't a bad deal. Lots of perks and good pay. They just don't treat the minions very well :op
