Happy Hump Day!

Wednesday already??

Derek and I had a ridiculously lazy night last night.  We got caught up on all the shows on the PVR and just laid on the couch.  So lazy.  Hopefully tonight we can get some actual work done around the house!

How is everyone today?

Re: Happy Hump Day!

  • Morning.

Yesterday was a major shopping fail for me.  I only got to try on one outfit before the boys were bored sitting in their stroller, so it ended up being more shopping for them vs. me. Hoping I can get away by myself this weekend to do some shopping.  Ahh retail therapy is needed.

Today I am catching up on all of my voicemails, emails and files that I rec'd yesterday while I was out of the office.  Nothing like being out of the office one day and having a lot to catch up.

Tonight will be low key, watching Survivor, and catching up on some True Blood Dvd's.

    Have a great day ladies.

  • Good morning! I can't believe half of the week is gone. Yesterday I went home upset at my senior design partner. He accused me of not cooperating with him because I was unable to send him a file on Saturday. I explained to him why I couldn't send it to him then and apologize but he is still holding that against me. Yesterday after class he was suppose to send me a report I needed to complete and he has failed to do so. I think he is trying to get back at me. This project is becoming a nightmare.

  • Morning. I am feeling better today, so far anyway. Last night was a lazy night for us too. I received a new plant stand that I had ordered and assembled that. Otherwise, most of the night was spent catching up on the DVR.

Tonight I'm hoping for another relatively quiet night. I'd like to beat this cold once and for all, and I feel like taking it easy for the next several days will give me the best odds of doing that.

  • Good Morning.
Not to much going on here. Last night was pretty lazy for us, we just watched T.V. and I knit. DH stayed up till 3 am yesterday to finish a paper, so he was napping when I got home and continued for about 3 more hours. Tonight he will probably do the same as he has another paper due tomorrow.
I don't have much planned for today, just catch up on some little things at work. The people I work for are moving in December, I was informed about this yesterday. So I guess I should start looking for a new job.

Dora- I am sorry your partner is being so difficult, hopefully everything will work out. He seems like he needs to grow up!

  • Dora, that's such crap. What a child. I hope he shapes up soon.

Good morning. Last night was mostly low key--right as I got home, I got a text from a friend who is organizing a happy hour tonight (another friend is retiring), asking me if I could think of another bar--the one we had planned on was closed for a private event. We scrambled and found something, but it was kind of panicky for a minute there.

After that, Josh and I hit the gym, then had egg sandwiches for dinner. Then I wrapped myself in flannel because the heat's still not on at our condo and I was freezing.

Today I have a couple of meetings at work, then it's off to that happy hour at the new location.

  • Hey all.

So, today my university classes start back up again, so after teaching from 8:30 - 3:30, I'll be in class myself from 5:00-9:30. The next ten weeks are going to be exhausting. At least it's a drama class, so there's an element of fun there!

I just came out of teaching my grade 7 math class and what a difference. They're a million times better behaved in the morning then they are in the afternoon.

  • abarber* Feel better!

Kaesha* They're probably too tired in the morning to have the energy to be bratty. I used to find I was a terror in my later classes, too. I just wanted to get out of there and go home.

Last night I watched the Yankees spank the Tigers. I was a little shocked. I'm also convinced it's due to the jersey/margarita combo that I've been neglecting. I guess that means Thursday will be a long night, too.

Tonight will hopefully be quiet so I can squeeze in a nap. I'm praying that Jackson agrees. It's usually his play time and then he wants to nap right around bed time.

  • Good morning. Yesterday afternoon was hobby tragic. I bought DH a new sail plane (a 6'4" wing span, electric powered, it's massive) He was so excited to get it, and it's his big nerdy hobby. He hasn't been able to fly it yet. So yesterday we went out to the park with it. He accidentally switched the up and down so the remote was reversed and 2 seconds into being into the air it crashed and broke. He was so excited and it went so terribly wrong. I felt horrible, he felt horrible because I bought it for him. So I said we can fix it. We can glue it and put it all back together. So we came home and 3 hours later it was back in 1 piece. I felt so bad for him. Hopefully things will work out today with it.

I'm going running tonight. I am so excited to be back on two good feet. :)

  • Good morning, ladies.

There was a guy on the sidewalk downtown yesterday with a sign that said 'need funds for weed'.  At least he's honest!

More work to close the third quarter, and our dryer sounds like it's taking one last breath before croaking, and DH's car won't start.  Why does everything go wrong at once?

    Have a great day, everyone!

Oh, totally. They know it, I know it, we all know it. Now, if only I had a way to deal with it...

  • Happy Wednesday! Last night DH and I were busy cleaning out the basement/family room/laundry room in preparation for demo weekend. We have 5 friends coming over on Saturday to help us completely gut the entire area.

Tonight we are relaxing, and catching up on our DVR.

  • Good morning! Yesterday felt very unproductive for me, I felt like I was going in circles all day long and I only got half of my errands done yesterday evening.

I hoping for a more productive day today and hopefully my errands tonight won't take to long so I can go home and put my feet up and recharge myself.

    Have a great day ladies!

I used to really enjoy the classes in the afternoon where I was actually doing things and not just listening to lectures. I remember doing a pretty sweet project in 7th or 8th grade math. Not sure what you're teaching, but we had to make a marshmallow cooker, followed by a hot dog cooker the next year. It was cool, because we used math, but it was for a fun project. It dealt with parabolas. I'm not sure the details now...I suck with my memory lately.

  • Morning! I'm still here waiting for a baby. I've been doing a lot of cleaning and resting. Tonight, we may be going to a birthday for a friend depending on how I'm feeling. Have a great day ladies!

  • Good Morning

DH and I didn't do a ton last night, he got home late and I refused to start dinner until he did the dishes. He's really starting to slack off and not do them after dinner. Then we just watched some DVR and called it a night.

I think tonight we're having something simple for dinner, I don't feel like cooking.

  • Good Morning!

Yesterday was a good day. I didn't have to cook and the house was fairly clean. I got to do some things that I wanted to get done, and I started pulling out some fall/winter stuff for Jordan. I am hoping to finish that project this weekend.

Tonight We have soccer pracitce. I will be watching survivor after that and a movie dh has been wanting to see that was finally in the redbox this morning.

  • Good morning ladies. I must be in the minority because this week is dragging for me. LO has been waking up every night around 1:30 am. She cries for a bit, I give her a paci or bottle and then she goes right back to sleep. She's teething so I feel really bad cause I know she is in pain. That makes for a tired momma all this week.

Work will probably be crazy busy again today so I may not be around much. Tonight will be low key since DH has class. I'll probably have a sandwich for dinner and catch up on the DVR.

    Have a great day ladies.

  • I can't believe I am just now getting on the computer.  I overslept and have a headache that I am barely keeping in check.  Today I've had an interview, had a meeting, had another interview, and just finished lunch before another meeting and two more interviews.  And somehow I am supposed to get the rest of my work done.  At least today will go quickly.  I'm only in a half day tomorrow because I have to go meet a repair guy at our rental unit and the boss is out Friday, so the rest of the week should be fine.  Got to run right now and get a soda so I can stay with it.  I'd take my other work to the meeting with me but that makes the boss grouchy.

  • This morning I got up and went for a run but again, I only got about 4 miles before my 'trots' kicked in.  I'm glad I decided to run back towards my neighbourhood and loop around if I felt better after 4 miles, otherwise I would have ended up in bush.  Embarassing.

Work was just okay.  Busy as usual.

After work we went to a pasta dinner at church.  They filled my plate up and I ate it all.  Now I'm feeling way to full, bloated and gross.  Yay!  Now I'll spend the night on the couch.
