Need a Neuro recomendation

Without going into details....I need a Neurologist recommendation. I currently see someone within the Methodist group of docs on Indian Hills, but I really feel like I need to get a 2nd opinion. Thanks!

Re: Need a Neuro recomendation

  • A friend of mine highly recommends Dr. Stephen Doran at Midwest Neurosurgery.

  • Message me on facebook.  I worked in neurology at UNMC up until just recently.
  • I really like Dr. Scott Goodman. He's quick, progressive and no BS. Works in the North Doctors Building at UNMC...I don't have his # handy, but I'm sure Dr. Google does. Hope everything is ok :)

p.s. There are a couple of neuros that I don't care for, FB me for that info

    Ditto!

  • Dr Doran!!!!!!!!!!! He is the best! My mom was lucky enough to get him as a DR when she had to have major neck surgery. He is amazing! My dad swears no one in the family will ever have neuro surgery unless he does it.

  • Dr. Doran is a neurosurgeon, not a neurologist. Neurology = subspecialty of medicine, Neurosurgery = subspecialty of surgery. If you have a medical problem (MS, stroke, migraines, etc etc) you want a neurologist. Surgical problem (disc disease, etc) you need a NSurg.

    HTH.

I like Dr. Mac McLaughlin at UNMC for Neurology.

  • I don't think I have a rec, but I hope things are ok and/or will be ok, Cori!
