XP: party food for preschoolers
We are having a birthday party this weekend and have a bunch of 3-4 year olds coming over. I was just wondering what some ideas were for food? I know some (including my child) are so picky. I am doing a fruit/veggie tray, pigs in blankets, and was contemplating on having some uncrustables (pb&j) but wasn't sure if that would be tacky? What do you guys think/suggest?

Pure cane sugar
lol
Have you thought of maybe doing a PB&J bar. I would cut slices of bread in half then you can go ahead and put some natural peanut butter on one slice of bread and leave the other slice plain, then have a selection so those picky eaters/ picky parents, they can choose what goes on the other side I would have Jelly, Honey, and fresh fruit slices for choices.
make sure there are no kids who are allergic to peanuts before you do any peanut butter.
I have seen PB&Js rolled up and made to look like sushi. It's really cute. You could do a few different flavors/colors of jelly and use a picture of each fruit to let them know what kind they are.
You could do different bowl of cut fruit and let the kids make their own fruit salads. Have chocolate dip and yogurt dip on the side for them.
Little chicken drumsticks or nuggets are always good to serve.
I think you need to talk to all the parents before hand to see if there are allergies. I wouldn't really do a buffet style for kids. I would already have a pre-determined meal (the same thing) for each of them. Maybe put it in a cute container for fun.
They are 3-4.... they really don't know what tacky is.
