Stolen From MM (Not MM Related LOL)
What do you want done with your body after you die?
Re: Stolen From MM (Not MM Related LOL)
I want my organs donated if they're viable and I want to be cremated.
I spent a lot of time in cemeteries for one of my archaeology classes studying headstones. I find some of them fascinating. They've gotten really boring in the past 60-70 years. I definitely want an 18th-century style one with a little poem about me on it LOL!

Just curious, but what if your children don't want to keep your ashes? The thought of keeping my parents ashes kind of makes me laugh and grimace at the same time. And of course I have images of Meet the Parents and the cat peeing in Robert De Niro's mom's ashes.
I would like my organs donated and then probably cremated and buried.
Edit: Britt, that wasn't supposed to be rude or snarky in any way; sorry if it came across that way. I really am just curious.
I didn't take that as snarky at all! If they didn't want them, well then I'm not sure, I'd probably just want to have my ashes buried in like a flower bed or something of the sort since I love gardening and being out in nature so much.
I'm an organ donor, and I want to be cremated. I want my little urn to be buried, and at my funeral I want a gospel choir to sing the version of 'Let It Be" from Across the Universe.

I don't even care that people think it's creepy. I'll highly opposed to a traditional embalming & casket, so if for whatever reason I can't be turned into jewelry, I want a "green" funeral, no embalming, a flimsy, untreated box, so I decay quickly.
I wouldn't mind giving my body to science. Who knows, maybe I could be the key a major cure for something? My weird dream is to be one of those bodies in that body exhibit. Creepy? Probably. Totally awesome? Yes.
Otherwise, I just want to be cremated and have my ashes spread somewhere magical. I am not sure if I want a huge funeral, just the few people that love me to have a few drinks and talk about good times.
ETA: And Ditto to Ojo. If I am buried in the traditional sense, I want to be buried in a forest the "green" way, so that the plants around me get some good nutrients. Embalming creeps me out.
Organs donated if possible. My license already says I'm an organ donor when my time is up. And I'm torn between wanting to be buried with family, or being cremated and spread somewhere special to me. How's that for opposite options?
