Techy people--which phone is better?
The iPhone 4s coming out or the EVO 4G?
I need something to use when at events for the store etc so I need something new (my BB SUCKS) but which is better.
Warning
No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
Re: Techy people--which phone is better?
I am an iPhone lover! My vote goes to iPhone, but I've never used EVO either.
Better is in the eye of the phone holder, but technically, the EVO is better. It's 4G, the iPhone 4s is only 3G. So there. 4G is faster.
The iPhone is more user friendly for the non-techy person. Granted I've never used an EVO. I have a stupid BB too just biding my time until Feb at which time I will have to make the same decision. At this point I'm leaning toward the EVO/any droid phone over the iPhone.
I'm pretty sure all phones have a 30 day return period - use it and try them both out.
thanks to jennied
But, isn't Omaha/Lincoln only 3G at this point in time? You can only be as fast as the network you are on.
This might be true. I'm not techy enough to know. A quick search around the web says the Verizon has released 4G LTE, whatever that means. Nothing for Sprint. Kinda makes my point worthles, I know.
thanks to jennied
Verizon has had 4G since (I think) middle of August in Omaha.
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
Evo. I had a BB until a few months back. I couldn't decide between the iPhone and Android - so I went to several stores both here and in Omaha, and asked lots of questions. Not one Verizon person suggested the iPhone for me. There were, IMO, several downsides to the iPhone - mainly the lack of personalization and cost of apps.
4G is amaaaaazing when I'm in Omaha. It's always sad to when it shuts off on my way back home. I didn't think I'd realize just how much faster it was....but I definitely can!
See my reply in Shannon's post below
It's got a funny (but foul language) clip on the Evo vs. iPhone that I came across when wondering this same thing!
EVO!
I love my iPhone. I like being able to use iTunes and not carry a separate device just for music. It's the most user friendly phone I've ever had. The camera is awesome. I love that you can take pictures of yourself and see them (it has a 2 way camera). The email function is way better than my old phone.
You'll want to double check but I think you pay extra for 4G. 3G is fast enough for what I do. Websites load really quickly, music downloads faster than my computer!
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
4G isn't available in Lincoln so I'm not worried about whether or not a phone has it.
I thought I read/heard that Lincoln has 4G but Omaha doesn't yet. hmmmm
Everything I have been told at Sprint is 3G. Hmmm, I will have to ask again
