I've been teaching for 10 years and I am starting to get burnt out. I spent two years as an instructional coach and really enjoyed it, however my district cut those positions drastically and I have had to return to the classroom. I have no desire to become an administrator, but I think I need to leave the classroom.
I've been to several training sessions over the course of my career for various curriculums / text books and I think that is something I would enjoy doing. I really enjoyed working with adults and helping them implement curriculum and putting strategies to use. If you currently do this job, how did you get started? I'm not even sure where to start looking for job postings.
Re: Text book companies / training jobs (not sales) - how did you get this job?
I don't know much about training but I am familiar with textbook authoring. To do that, check with Harcourt Brace (Reed Elsevier) or McGraw Hill. They hire all the time.
