I went out last night with some girlfriends and had a little too much fun...now I'm trying to get ready for 8 am class. I've taken two giant aspirins already and drank a ton of water, today is going to be interesting....

I'm getting ready for work and kind of squinting at the computer screen because my glasses are in the bedroom and I don't wan't to wake H up early. I need to figure out what baby L and I are going to do today.

PS I was saddened as well to see the news today that Steve Jobs has died. I suppose it was expected since he stepped down from Apple, but still so sad!
I'm up before noon! I've been so jetlagged the past few days so I'm glad to actually have an entire day ahead of me! I'm still without a driver's license but I think a friend might pick me up to do lunch or dinner with her family since DH is gone. I'm hoping to spend the rest of the day assembling some of my crochet for the next ARTE market on the 14th. I love to crochet but I hate sewing stuff together. Blech.

Good morning ladies. I am up, and cranky b/c I am super f*cking tired. Sitting here eating breakfast while Leo plays and Jax sleeps. This morning we are going to go to a play group then Leo has school. While he is at school I am doing a bit of shopping and catching up with a friend over coffee.

Morning...heading to take the dog out and then do homework for my Spanish lesson that is at 11:30.

I'm working from home today, which is a nice change of pace. We're flying to Berlin early this evening, so it didn't make sense for me to go all the way the other way to the office. Still have some last minute packing and planning to do, but otherwise should be a smooth day.
QOTD: I love fruity cocktails - something like an apple martini. My standard drink, though, when I go out is just a glass of wine.

Morning, off to work and the gym. I have to also stop and pick up something fro dinner.

I babysat my friend's toddler while she went and gave birth to twins, so I was out late too but I'm very much not hungover. I'm preparing for my parents' arrival tomorrow.

Morning! Got a business meeting in Central London and then a conference call today. Then I'll probably think about starting to pack (or at least make a list) for the States. We leave on Sat--can't wait!
QOTD: Red wine. I always like the idea of cocktails, but I've not had that many that were truly fantastic. Had a pomegranate/blueberry cosmo once that was lovely, but usually I'd rather stick with something I know I'll enjoy.
Morning. I think today is going to be a good day. The funk I was in earlier in the week is totally gone. H and I went out for Thai last night and it was fun. Work is pretty easy today and I think I'll sneak out during lunch to buy a dress. Ah, life is good.

Good morning. I'm having a seriously homesick week. I am mourning the loss of NOLA's longtime Archbishop and no one here (save my husband) understands, and I just don't want to have to explain it to people. It's a New Orleans thing and I can't explain it. If you ask me what's wrong this week, be prepared to listen to the answer and be empathetic to my mourning. And I am seriously missing the local news coverage of it. I really do find myself being angry at the news here for prattling on about Steve Jobs and the US Presidential election -- where is the story on Archbishop Hannan? I am just having a lonely, lost week.
QOTD: Coconut rum and 7Up. And I am picky, Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Coconut Rum and 7Up. But barring that, any nice Riesling will do.

Hello! Last day of work for the week, yay!
QOTD: It really depends on the weather, my mood, etc. My usual is wine (white or red) but (I'm going to sound like a complete lush) I also enjoy pimms or a mojito in summer, pina coladas at the beach, vodka with grapefruit juice as a default strong drink, caipirinhas, bloody marys, white russians, etc.
There's a time and a place for each one of them.
Morning! Getting ready for work now -- I just found out the best news ever last night. So, the old manager who was working at KSC before my (now) boss stepped up from assistant manager and I came in is back now. He took over his old role and I wasn't really looking forward to working with him because he's kind of a shady business guy. I mean like, zero integrity, falsifies numbers, etc. So, I was kinda dreading going to work today; however, the news I got last night was from one of the managers in Orlando asking if I'd like to move back to our site at Hard Rock Cafe...HECK YEAH! It works out perfectly because our lease is up at the condo on the 31st. YAYAYAY! So happy
QOTD: I used to be into Cap'n and Diet like it was going out of style. Now I'm 99% wine and beer, 1% gin and tonic. LOVE trying new beer
