I had a fairly productive night last night. I got out and mowed the lawn AND got in a workout. I can feel my hamstrings getting sore already, but I know I can up the weight on my RDL's next time! Woo!
Also, Derek picked up the doors for our kitchen cabinets yesterday, and OMG I luff them. For laminate doors, they look damned good. We ended up going with a 5 piece construction (it was the middle price of the 3 we liked) and they look so real. Love!
Hopefully with the long weekend coming up we can get a LOT of work done.
Bonus, now that we've got the doors and can bring a sample of tile, we can start picking out the other finishes! I feel like this kitchen might actually happen before Christmas!

Good morning! I'm super early (for me) this morning because I have to leave at noon to go home and wait for the repair guy to come to our rental unit. I am gathering up a pile of work that I can do at home while I wait, so hopefully I won't have to use much, if any, leave.
I have a lot of extra stuff to do for this event next weekend, plus all my normal work, so it should be busy.

Raynes-I can't wait to see pics of the kitchen.
Yesterday was very productive I cleaned the fridge and snack cabinet out. I made a trip to walmart which i love doing during the week because I always buy one of those rotissere chickens they have already cooked. It makes for a delicious supper and all I have to do is cook up a vegetable to go with it!
Today I am having lunch with my bff at a new place that just opened last week. After work nothing special. DH and I watched a movie last night and while we watched it I put together the treat bags for Jordans class at scoool. I am going to run to the store and see if I can find some black curling ribbon so I can finish them up tonight.
That's exciting Raynes. I can't wait to see pictures.
I just went downstairs to our health center and had my annual flu shot. Glad that is out of the way. Now plugging away at a busy day ahead. I am anxious to get out of here as DH is just coming off his 3 day work week , and I get to see him. Looking forward to some snuggle time with him and the boys.
Lasnight was fun, the boys have starting singing. It is hilarious. They love the Elmo song on you tube, so when I sing La la la, they run around singing la la la la la now. LOVE!
Anyhow, back to the grind. Enjoy your day ladies!
Morning. I am dragging today. The happy hour for our friend's retirement lasted until 11pm, which meant we didn't get into bed until a little before 12:30. It was fun, though, if not a little sad since she's moving away.
Today I'm going to try to stay awake and get some work done--hopefully I can be marginally productive. Tonight will be a quick dinner and then bedtime.

Katsblaze, I know have the Elmo song in my head. LOL
I'm staying busy at work, trying to get as much done as possible before I leave. I don't have a set last day- I'm just working up until I go into labor, so it's hard to plan for. Had a drs appt yesterday- 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced! I know I could stay like that for weeks, so I'm trying not to get too excited about it, but we're all guessing late next week ( by all, I mean me, DH, and my family).
My dad was visiting this week, but he's leaving this morning. We need to go to the grocery store tonight and get some laundry done and our hospital bag packed. I want to just be able to relax this weekend.
My boss brought in bagels today when I forgot my breakfast. Score! However, she forgot to get cream cheese, so I bought some this morning for an outrageous price on campus.
Last night I did more laundry, snuggled with the bub and made a sorry attempt at reading my book that's due back in a few days. I love Jodi Picoult, but her books are too long for me to read in 14 days apparently. Granted, if I didn't keep falling asleep, I'd probably get through more of it.
I don't work until 10am so I got to sleep in a bit today. Since I ran the past 2 days in a row, I decided to hit up the gym this morning to elliptical for a bit and then bike.
I just realized that since I'm on call tonight (until 7am) I can't get up early and run before work tomorrow so I'm disappointed about that. It's going to be too hot after work so I will likely just have to to take tomorrow off.
Today will be a boring day at work because I know I'm stuck on the computer all day. It really drags on. Hoping to get a phone call back from my OB today about when my IPS will be.
Morning! Last night DH and I continued cleaning out the basement in preparation for the demo. After dinner, he spent 2+ hours building a tool bench, while I watched tv in bed. I have been so tired this week, mostly because I quit coffee cold turkey on Monday.
After school today, a bunch of teachers are meeting with a rep who establishes unions for charter schools. All of the teachers at my school are upset with how this year is going so far - mostly because everyone went from 1 prep a day to 1 every 2-3 days. Not sure what is going to happen at the meeting, but I am curious enough to go.
OMG, I am SO tired. I was at university doing my drama class from 5:00 to 9:30. There's nothing like pretending to be a pig named Bumble-Ardy at 9:00 pm on a Wednesday night to make you wonder what you're doing with your life.
Anyway, we have a crap ton of drama (the bad kind) happening today at work. I've been dragged into it from all sides, which blows my mind because I had very little to do with this at all. So, today is being spent in damage control.

I'm working from home today, which is nice change. However, I forgot how loud the construction is next door during the day! Yikes. But, just a few more hours to put up with it since today is my fake Friday. We're heading to Berlin tonight for a long weekend. We haven't been before, and my brother just moved there so I'll get to see him for the first time since our wedding. And the first time that DH will meet my brother's wife! I'm really looking forward to the trip.
So, a bit early, but hope everybody has a great weekend!

My work internet was moving at a snail's pace yesterday. We switched servers (or something else important) a few weeks ago and it has been nothing but problems since then. So far the internet is slightly faster today. I had to have someone come in and do an update so that I can print email. While he was working on my computer I mentioned that Firefox hasn't worked since the conversion and he just looked at me like I was crazy. He basically said deal with it. I guess several other people are having the same problem but it isn't seen as a priority since Internet Explorer works. This whole process has been frustrating.
Tonight I don't have any major plans. I'd like to get a little bit of housework done so that there isn't as much left to do this weekend.
Morning ladies. I've been MIA most of the week, but I do want to mention that I had a great time with Susi and Reba on Monday evening in DC. I'm back in Chicago now, and had a conference a large portion of the day yesterday, so today is my first real day back at the office. It seems as though I've caught a nasty cold, so I'm hoping I can power through the day and then crawl into bed when I get home.

Good morning! I had a great night last night, J's uncle came over yesterday and got our sprinkler system working. I can't tell you how excited I am that it was a fairly easy (and inexpensive) fix and now I don't have to drag the hose out every couple of days. I wish we could have got them fixed early in the summer, but knowing it's ready for next spring makes me so happy!
Tonight I'm going out with some co-workers for a goodbye dinner for one of the attorneys who is leaving our firm.

I was in a pretty foul mood last night so I just laid low. Tonight's a busy day at the office and hopefully catching up on the DVR tonight. I'm so ready for the weekend, but realize I still have to fumble through tomorrow.
Good morning ladies. I'm exhausted today as once again, LO was up at 4 am and didn't go back to sleep until 5:30. I ended up sleeping in for a bit and got to work late. Thankfully I've been able to catch up at work so I feel okay about things. I can't wait for the weekend though.
Tonight should be low key. My favorite great aunt is in town and staying with my parents so I'll likely hang out there after work. I can't wait to see what she makes for dinner as she always cooks when she's here and makes the most delicious Mexican food. Have a great day ladies.
Evening! I haven't been on all week because life has been out of control.
Sunday--got a terrible cold
Monday--felt awful, but had to go to school because plans were too up in the air to write sub plans and I had an important meeting--So, ended up hiking in the cold/rain with 60 middle schoolers, then sitting in a four and a half hour meeting.
Tuesday through Thursday--state testing in school all day, which meant no regular classes, just monitoring tests and then supervising extra exercise/outside time and dances...exhausting. And throw in a totally crappy meeting yesterday after school.
I am SO glad it is Thursday. I would love a beer, but I am avoiding it because AF still hasn't showed, but since I'm not charting I am not totally sure if I am late yet or not and I am too chicken to POAS. I will Saturday if she hasn't showed yet...

Hey ladies! I had a great day today, spent the afternoon wandering around in the gorgeous weather and trying to find celebrities, although I failed on that count. But I did get my phone set up and got a cute new top from Anthro, small victories!
Also, a lady asked me where in Australia I was from. And she was American. And this was after a short conversation. I have apparently lost my American-ness.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
