Re: Thankful Thursday
I am soooooooo thankful to be home. I was home or only 7 days in all of September. That is too much to be away, in case you were wondering.
I am thankful that my kids are happy and healthy and are both coming home tomorrow night for John's backyard birthday bash - and that the weather is going to be good so we can play cornhole at night with his new light kit! (yes, we are THOSE neighbors!) And I'm thankful that the two bottles of sake I bought in duty free survived, so we can get drunk. Bc I need to get drunk. And sleep.
"What is a week-end?"
I'm really grateful for back-up care since my DCP threw out her back. (She's on bed rest for 2 weeks).
I'm also really grateful that next week I celebrate my anniversary to my wonderful DH and that we are going out for a lovely lunch date to mark the occasion.
I am grateful that C's two year molars have all come in and he is less of a Crankasaurus Rex.
I'm thankful that I get to see a lot of friends in the next few days.
I am not so thankful that a work conference is scheduled for a SUNDAY and COLUMBUS DAY (whaaa???) but still thankful that I get to go and work is footing the bill because it should be interesting.
I am making lemonade from lemons today
my company was acquired, things are totally uncertain but I got a nice bump in my 401K this morning plus a nice little check so all is not bad.
And, I am super thankful for DH and DD because no matter what is going on in my professional life- my personal life is pretty darn great.
like DCtoL, i am thankful for an october full of friends visiting
definitely more housework but our apartment looks better than it has in months and i get to see two of my best girlfriends soon!
i am thankful (and excited!) for the long weekend with our friends from NYC: zaytinya, wineries, the zoo, and the pats/jets game! they are jets fans, i am a pats fan but i still love them
i am thankful that even though my contract technically isn't up until december, i am still eligible to get my hands on the new iphone this month! in case you didn't know, i love and adore that little thing.
I am sooooooooo thankful for the guy that messed up the computer DH was supposed to use for a written test for a promotion. DH completely forgot about it (since it was on his day off) and was running about 45 minutes late - but when he got there the computer guy was fixing the computer and being late didn't count against him!!!
(I realize that's more for DH, but a promotion for him + pay raise = more new shoes for Momma!)
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
I am thankful for the awesome new office I moved into yesterday. Two huge windows that let in an abundance of natural light make each day and my mood so much better.
I am thankful for the amazing work review I got today (and am hoping they follow up the words of praise with dollars of praise!)
As we near our anniversary, I am thankful for my H, who makes every day better. Particularly as I watch my friend go through a devastating divorce, I am so happy I married someone so kind and nice, even if he did suggest, in all seriousness, that we go to PF Chang's for our anniversary.
I'm thankful that my friend let me be with her when she gave birth last week--it was a totally amazing experience. I'm also thankful her little guy (only 4lbs 15oz) is healthy and nursing like a champ.
I'm thankful for my DH, who surprised me with flowers on Tuesday for our nine-year dating anniversary.
I'm thankful for DS, who always wakes up excited to see me.
I'm thankful the mouse traps are working.

How did you manage that? Mine isn't up until June but I really want to get rid of this Droid and get an iPhone (I'm on Verizon).

I am thankful not to have to go anywhere else until the holidays, after traveling 5 of the last 6 weekends. Maybe this means I can get my house somewhat in order.
I am thankful that our leasing company allowed us to backdate our 60 day notice to the 1st of October for ease of finding a place, and also that we'll be able to get away from our crazy neighbor.
Stand up for something you believe in.
we have at&t and DH has had his iphone for almost three years. i think since we'd be re-signing a family plan, they are letting me get mine sooner? we're sticking with at&t because we're grandfathered in for unlimited data.
I'm thankful that my parents are visiting this weekend. I haven't seen them since July, so I'm looking forward to hanging out with them and showing them our new place.
I'm thankful for all of the people I've crossed paths with at various points in my life (yes, I know that sounds cheesy). It's just amazing to me to look back and see how God worked in various situations. For ex., if I had never talked to the lady on our shuttle bus who seemed mean at first, I would have missed out on meeting a great person who we now rent from.
