What are your anniversary plans?

Ours is the 17th, but DH took a new job and will be flying out of the country for 4 long months on the 9th, so I will be alone Sad

We are taking this week off together and will probably eat our cake. I do have an ultrasound the morning of our anniversary though Smile

Aw, I'm sorry your DH will be out of town Sad It is nice that you all will be able to celebrate early though.

As of right now, DH has to work from 12pm-8pm, but he's trying to get off, so right now we have two potential scenarios.

#1 He works: I'll go have lunch with him during his break and then once he gets home we'll eat our top tier and drink some champagne.

#2 He has off: We'll spend the day being lazy together, go out to a nice dinner, look through all of our wedding photos and guest book, and then eat the top tier of our cake and drink champagne from our toasting flutes.

Ours is the 9th. Dh's gift to me is to go see Louis CK standup on the 6th, so we'll be doing that thursday and on Sunday the 9th we are going to a super fancy dinner and will probably thaw out the cake for during the day (since the restaurant we are going to is famous for its bread pudding). I'm not sure what I'm more excited about-- our anniversary, or that bread pudding...

Ours is today. We had planned to go away but we ended up changing it to the weekend of the 21st. last night we had a big 30th party at Gillette stadium (where the Patriots play) for one of our groomsmen. Today we went to a brunch for said groomsman and just went to dinner just the two of us. It was nice

we are going away for a long weekend for ours on the 16th. We debated going back to Williamsburg and staying in the room we stayed at for our mini moon but it was booked so after searching several places we decided to go to Chincoteague. We bought a bottle of late harvest wine on our mini moon for on our first anniversary so we'll take that and our cake with us. Next weekend we are going to the mountain where we were married since we'll be out of town on our actual anniversary.

We're going away on vacation for a week. We fly out on the 22nd, the day before our anniversary and then we'll be in Mexico at an AI all week. We've been planning this forever because since we relocated and both started new jobs at the beginning of the year we haven't had the time off to take any sort of vacation. I can't wait, we're counting down the days.

We're also coincidentally going to see Jerry Seinfeld the night before we fly out because he's coming to our town - DH is a huge fan - so I'm going to include that in our anniversary celebration. We're probably going to eat our saved slice of wedding cake that night before we go to the show and exchange gifts too so we don't have to worry about packing them.

We spent the weekend in a B&B in Brown County, IN, and got home yesterday. I had an intestinal flu all weekend that's still plaguing me, but we had fun nonetheless. I get to go in to work at 3:30, so we said we'd do the top tier thing tonight when I get home, maybe have a little wine we picked up from our trip. For now, I'm contemplating a nap and a shower before work...

We had a nice dinner and bottle of wine at home last night. We leave on Thursday for NYC for the long weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving), so that's when the real celebration begins!

We are going to have a pretty low-key anniversary weekend, just planning on going out to dinner on the 9th. Our cake is in his parents' freezer so we won't be cutting that until we head down to Atlanta on the 29th for the GT Homecoming game against Clemson. Hope it still is good!

We are also keeping it pretty low key since we are saving for the arrival of BB and I am still getting over being very sick in the hospital with pneumonia

I am excited that we are going to the Melting Pot for dinner on Sunday night though! I think I'm also going to order a "top tier" version of our wedding cake since we ate ours long ago :-P

And I am SO excited! My cousins went in together and got us a gift card for this hotel for our wedding gift. We were going to use it on Valentine's Day, but didn't, so it was perfect for our 1 year.

We'll probably also go eat somewhere downtown or eat at the hotel. Not sure what else.

Low key for us. A friend has a 50th b'day party on Saturday and our anniversary is Sunday the 9th. So we cannot go out of town this weekend. We are planning to go to a historic hotel in Galveston (The Galvez) for their magnificent Sunday brunch buffet. Then a walk on the beach to work off some of the calories. Need to remember to pull the top of the cake out of the freezer in a few days. I don't think we are exchanging gifts but I do have a card for him.

Well, I've been MIA on this site for a while because of work being so busy, so pardon me for jumping in again.

Our anniversary is the 23rd, but we decided earlier this year that we weren't going to do anything big until the first weekend of December. Andrea Bocelli is coming to our area to do a concert on Dec. 4th (which happens to be Felix's birthday), so we are using that weekend to celebrate (since tix are so expensive and the only way we could justify buying them was to combine anniversary and this year's birthdays into one weekend). We are planning on making a weekend out of it and staying up in Tampa for a couple nights.

It turned out to be a good thing that we didn't plan anything for our anniverary weekend, because my dad's 60th birthday is the 21st, and my older brother is lfying in for a surprise party we're all throwing that day (Friday). With my older brother coming in, we'll be doing family stuff all weekend.

Ours is 10/9 and DH told me he is planning everything. I have no clue what he is doing. I am making him the framed thing I just posted. We are going on our honeymoon (1 year late) October 14th so that is kind of like a 1 year anniversary trip as well.

Ours is 10/30. We are planning on taking a weekend trip to Chicago (about a 5 hour drive for us). I'm very excited as Chicago is one of my favorite cities. DH planned a brunch cruise for us on the 30th and then the rest of the weekend we can visit places and maybe do a little shopping.
