Karma is a B*tch

My company does a charitable campaign every year and I've gotten several emails encouraging contributions. I was just complaining to one of my coworkers about how annoying it was and that I was tempted to respond with "my husband is unemployed, so no, you can't have any of my money."

Right after I say this, I spill an entire can of coke all over my floor. Yeah...guess I'll be donating...

ETA: I donate to charity relatively often. The reminder emails were just getting old.

ETA #2: DH isn't working by choice so I don't mean to make light of being unemployed, we're just on a tight budget. Didn't mean for it to come off that way...

  • Well you were being a selfish biotch and you were taught a lesson, weren't you?! Wink I feel the same way about the donation requests around the holidays. I always give even when money is super tight (plus we give to other causes throughout the year,) but when they ask me EVERY time I go through the line at Publix, I feel like they think I'm lying when I say, "No thank you. I've already donated."
