Anyone see the commercial for Paranormal Activity 3?

I saw this while watching a show on demand last night and it would not allow me to fast forward through the short commercial break.  Then the Paranormal Activity 3 commercial comes on and of course, I'm intrigued (I saw the first 2) and it freaked me the F out.

Anyone else see it?

Re: Anyone see the commercial for Paranormal Activity 3?

  • I saw it. DH loves the Paranormal Activity movies, so I'm sure he'll either go see it (without me) or get it when it comes out. I refuse to watch any of them alone (those or any other scary movie) because I am super jumpy. But DH loves them, so I'll watch them if he's there with me and then I make him check the shower. (I have this very stupid fear that someone's going to be in the bathtub and "get me" when I sit down to pee. This is even MORE stupid because there's only 1 door to our apartment, we're on the 3rd floor, and I check it before I watch the movie. Theres no chance anyone would be there ... but I still make him do it.
  • CelestiaIyte--See, this is exactly what I'm talking about.  Whenever I watch scary movies, I get freaked out when I'm alone at night and when I'm in the bathroom too (behind the shower curtain).  And then you see the PA3 commercial and see there's the evil spirit in the bathroom!!  That one scene alone is what's freaking me out.
  • Totally going to watch. Great timing too...close to halloween. Saw the first one drunk on halloween night totally love the effects that alcohol + scary movies have.

  • I haven't seen the commercial! I only just realized that a 3rd was coming out like last week! I really enjoyed the first but not the second. Still, I'll gladly see this one.
  • I still have an irrational fear of my attic...

I can't tell you how glad I was that the house I was living in at the time didn't have an attic, and right now we live in an apartment and I don't have to worry about it.

I haven't told DH yet, because we're not at the house buying point in our lives yet, but I would much prefer a home without an attic. LoL.

  • Is this the commercial with the little girls saying Bloody Mary in the mirror? Then they run out and close the door and Mary is there, omg--that alone has me scared beyond words.
  • just the commercial freaked me the f out. I could never see any of those movies.

Yes!! That is the bathroom scene that scared the bejeezus out of me.
  • I can't wait to see it.  DH and I saw the first two and it scared the mess out of us so we're super excited about seeing this one.  It looks way scarier than the first two.  I guess it explains how the first two came to be and I like how they did it backwards.
    Anniversary
  • OMG the bloody mary thing...scared the crap out of me. I told DH no way am I seeing that movie!!

  • Yes! I can't wait to see it!

they gave away everything in the commercial i saw and there seems to be no point in seeing the movie. what more could be in it than what we saw in the trailer?

This was a complaint I had with the first movie, and I didn't really like it all that much. #2 was actually pretty good. I hope they learned from the first movie and kept some things back. I'll go see it.

  • I might be in the minority here, but I think they should have stopped at the first one. The second one was no where near as good, in my opinion, and the fact that they are putting a new movie out every year makes me think they are going to go the way of Saw and make 15 of them, which is never good for a franchise. They just start getting silly after a while.
