I'm running a 5K this weekend!

Aaaaaahhhhhhh.  It's my first one and I'm nervous!  I just started running for the first time in my life this June.  I have no idea how far i can run, but I ran for 41 minutes yesterday, so I'm assuming that's at least 5K.  I hope I can do it!

The 5K i am doing is a fundraiser with WCS for the sea turtles. If you would like to donate, you can do so here: So http://e.wcs.org/site/TR/Events/RunfortheWildTeamraiser?px=2199215&pg=personal&fr_id=1080  Thank you :-)

Also, the run is at the Coney island aquarium, so if you are in the neighborhood, come out and cheer us on on Sunday!

  • you'll be great!  if you can run for 41 minutes straight, you DEFINITELY ran 3.1 miles.  it's pretty widely accepted that you run faster on race day, too, because of the atmosphere and adrenaline.

i'm running my first 5k next weekend, the 15th, in central park.  it's really nerve wracking getting ready for these things, isn't it???
