As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Is there a reason there wouldn't be school tomorrow?
H just got a call from SIL asking him to watch her kids tomorrow because she just started a new job and her FI has jury duty. She is dropping them off in the morning but I am trying to figure out why they won't be in school (they are in 4th and 1st grade I believe). I know Columbus day is on Monday I don't imagine that would effect school, especially on Friday.
I'm guessing that it would just be a school inservice day or something? Am I missing something?

It may make me a bad Aunt, but I don't actually know what school they attend. They have moved at least 8 times in the 5 years H and I have been together, so I kind of lost track. It doesn't really matter, I was just curious.
LOL that's cool - do you know what district they are in? The main site may be helpful if your bored/curious.
FWIW I didn't mean for my first post to come across snotty. As I reread it I realized it may have seemed that way.

I guess Livonia had off today. They spend more time off of school than they do in it, or it seems like that!
