all-day meetings suck
seriously.....there is really NO reason to have to be in one room from 9:30 until 5 talking about things that i know will never get done.

I sat in a meeting room for Tokyo for 2-1/2 days, 1 of which was NOTHING but oral reports about work that was "ongoing" (for the past three years). Not one accomplishment. For that, we had to fly around the world? and they wonder why the profession is failing.
"What is a week-end?"
i don't understand how other people do not understand how UNPRODUCTIVE those kinds of meetings are. in publishing, they have 2-3 days of meetings like that three. time. a. year. i actually got to skip them when we went on our honeymoon because i told my boss "you can have me in the meeting" or "you can have work done" :P
i think it's wine time for you!
