Found the perfect DIY 1 yr anniv present!!
Thanks for the advice ladies. I found something that is ADORABLE, inexpensive, and rather quick.
It isn't my original idea- i found it during a google search. I am however going to alter the silhouette cutouts and do an actual silhouette of us instead of the generic man/woman and maybe change the hearts. But definitely take a look at it- i think you all will really like it!!

If you are a AAA member, you can go to your nearest AAA location and they give you free maps of every state. I went in today and got all the maps i needed (FREE). I am going to either Ikea tomorrow or Michaels/AC Moore (with my 50% coupons) and buying cheap frames.
Nukke-are you doing different silhouettes? or sticking with the hearts and man/woman?
Yeah, I'm partial to vintage looking maps. I'm a CAA member (same as AAA but here in Canada), but just wanted some vintage maps--so that 1930s atlas was perfect.
I'm not doing the man/woman idea, but I'm probably doing hearts. I'm also stamping the words onto the matting, instead of writing them. We've got six maps total: Where Matt's from (NE Pennsylvania), Where Eeva's from (SW Ontario), Where we fell in love (Helsinki, Finland), Where we wed (Adirondacks, NY), Our first home (Miyagi, Japan), Where we live now (Kawarthas, ON). It will be nice to add to in the future, too. Like our first purchased home, where our kids were born, etc.

I am doing it tomorrow so i will take step by step pictures. It doesn't seem difficult to do, but I guess I will see it tomorrow.
