I haven't met any random people and become friends with them through FB if thats what you're asking.

I have become friends with people I know, but haven't met in IRL. Example: my family members other family (my aunts SIL) and nesties.

Not through facebook, but other outlets, like the nest and my private preemie board. I haven't really meet these people IRL, but they are my friend on FB. Does that make sense.

Not through FB alone, no. I met and became friends with quite a few people through TK/TN and then I keep up with those people through FB also.

No, but I don't friend anyone randomly. I have become BETTER friends with people I already kinda knew like nesties or friends of friends I met a few times.

I'd also like to add I have no idea why I have no problem meeting and becoming friends with people from TN/TK but the prospect of meeting people and becoming friends through FB skeeves me out.

Surprisingly yeah, this just happened to me.

I'm part of an alumni group for my college newspaper on Facebook. I responded to a job posting and a girl who graduated a few years before me but was also a staff member on the paper saw that I live very close to her and asked me when I was at the paper, what I do now, etc.. I just got involved with our college's alumni association so I invited her to come watch the football game on saturday with the local chapter, and she did ... and now we're friends. But we had a common link, though we had never met before.

I met one of my closest, most dearest, true hearted friend through a message board. I also met another awesome, true hearted friend through a message board. It definitely was odd at first, i'd say, but I 100% positively would NEVER take a second look back. Both are people I can call my true friend and people I hope I grow old with.
