We're buying a foreclosed home with an FHA loan. It has been TERRIBLE. Several FHA issues came up, but they were all small and totalled about 1,000 to fix. The first FHA inspection was July 7th. Since then we've been arguing with the bank that owns the home. We even offered to just pay cash. Finally - three months later, nearly to the day, the necessary repairs are completed. And they paid for it!
This is the best news we've received in a long time! We've been "under contract" since the third week of June, so it's really great to know that we will actually be closing this month!
Hooray!
(ps. there are a few before & after pics in the blog link in my signature!)
