Re: Weekend Plans?

  • Friday: Dinner with a good friend and then dropping off the dog with the parents and hitting the road to Blacksburg for the last time this fall.

Saturday: Tailgating all day (also involves trip to farmer's market next to tailgate and Starbucks) and Virginia Tech game with BIL and SIL

Sunday: Making the long trip back, but picking up amazing donuts along the way that coworker and I have been eyeing for months!  Picking up dog and then getting my butt into DC for our running groups practice at 5pm

    I don't get Monday off...boo!

  • Tonight:  Staying in, grilling something, and drinking wine on the patio.  I've been up since 3:30 thanks to jet lag, so I am looking forward to an early night!

Tomorrow:  Probably going to the MD Renaissance Festival.  I haven't been since before I met DH and he has never been; plus, it should be great weather for it.  Then we have to go to his aunt and uncle's house to break the fast for Yom Kippur (not that we will actually be fasting, I plan to gorge myself at the Renaissance Festival).

Sunday:  Funeral in the morning (family friend of DH's) and hopefully just relaxing a bit in the afternoon.

Monday:  Who knows?  I'm just glad not to be working!

  • tonight: hopefully cutting out of work a little early to meet our dear friends who are visiting from nyc. we haven't seen them since february, i am so, so excited! we're doing mezze ora & dinner at zaytinya! depending on how late we're out, m&b may come back to our place. in that case, we'll cut into some belated birthday cake for m (her b-day is 9/11 and i know she didn't properly celebrate and anyway, who doesn't love cake?)
saturday: hitting the wineries in VA!!! first stop will actually be wegman's for vineyard picnic provisions, then bring on the vino!! probably dinner out near the wineries or our favorite thai spot in the neighborhood.
sunday: zoo (hopefully will get to see the baby red pandas!), lunch at tacklebox, then back to our place to watch the pats/jets game and have some italian drip beef for dinner. my bff and possibly a few other friends are coming over too.
monday: hopefully m&b can come over for breakfast/brunch before they get on the road. my office is closed & DH took the day off so we'll probably just do some errands and chill out in the afternoon.   happy weekend!!

  • Thankfully it is an in town weeknd

Tonight: DH is working late, so I am going to be lazy and pick up pizza and picnic at the park with the kiddos.

Tomorrow:  No real plans, I've kept the day free to catch up on cooking, cleaning and spending time with the wee ones.  With the nice weather, we will probably go someplace to enjoy it.

Sunday: Busy day, Birthday party in SS in the afternoon and dinner party at our house in the evening.

Monday: Apple picking!  And hopefully some gardening in the late afternoon.

  • Tonight- cleaning our old apt. before we turn in over on Sunday, maybe organizing at our new place, crashing on the couch- it's been quite a week.

Tomorrow- meeting landlord in the morning to go through the move-in checklist. Then DH is helping someone move, while I straighten the place up a bit and wait for my parents. We'll probably shop for a few things for our new place and just hang out with parents.

Sunday- Church, maybe more shopping, maybe going to the West End Art & Wine Festival. Also hopefully watching the Steelers.

Monday- walk-through inspection of old apt., hanging with parents before they leave, then relaxing and getting ready for the week.

  • We have no plans, and it's glorious.

Today/Tonight - clean, make dinner (or maybe go out since DH is working the day shift), possibly go to a friends house for a little get together in Arlington.

Tomorrow - I think i'm going to make cookies and start getting Halloween party stuff together (crafts, lists of things we need, possibly punch recipes), then maybe out for a few drinks when DH gets out of work.

Sunday - We might go to breakfast.  In any case, we absolutely have to find Halloween costumes for ourselves.

ETA:  Monday - I have to work :(

  • Tonight:  our town's First Friday then out for a beer or two.

tomorrow:  massage in the afternoon, maybe to the gym and then out to a birthday party for dinner

sunday: hopefully the second round of pumpkin beer tasting and relaxing

I have to work on Monday and I'm not particularly looking forward to it.

  • This is somewhat duplicated from my QOTD post, but here goes!

Tonight: Meeting two friends for dinner at the National Harbor, one of whom I usually only see once per year so BONUS! This year will be twice. Hubz will be home watching the Diamondbacks... and fasting.

Tomorrow: Apple picking at Stribling and making yummy yumminess to break DH's fast. I'm thinking homemade deep-dish pizza and an apple cake if I have time.

Sunday: Rehearsal in the afternoon, maybe gym if my plantar fasciitis chills the eff out, and watchin' football

Monday: Working. I really don't understand Columbus Day.

  • Tonight- Going to see an apartment, followed by the grocery store and watching the baseball game (GO CARDS!)

Tomorrow- 2 more apartments and then a run to the craft store before going to the gym.  H wants to see the Ides of March movie, so we'll probably do that too.

Sunday- Brunch with a friend to gift her baby stuff since she didn't have a local shower.

  • Tonight: happy hour with DH. I need a beer to even myself out from crazy shenanagians with co-workers last night.

Saturday: My parents are coming over to visit. I think we may go out and do some Civil War battlefields during the day. Tomorrow night we are watching the OSU game which will probably be depressing.

    Sunday: Watching the Jets/Pats game.

Monday: Brunch and then going to get pumpkins.

  • Tonight: Just hanging out, watching Game of Thrones

Tomorrow: 10-mile run, pumpkin picking, relaxing

Sunday: Errands w/ LOs while DH volunteers, more relaxing

    Monday: Working--blah

  • Tonight we're doing a little shopping and getting pizza.

Tomorrow we're celebrating our 5th anniversary at the Eve tasting room!! Might start the day at the gym and then brunch somewhere.

Sunday we have to take the car to the dealership to get a trade-in estimate and I think we're going to the farmer's market and getting bunches of apples and making apple pie and applesauce.

  • Tonight - pizza date with DH
Saturday - baby shower. First really close friend having a baby so it's very exciting
Sunday - family over for dinner
    Monday - NOTHING
