Crib Rail Protectors

This morning, I woke up to the sounds of Sawyer happily chattering away in his crib, so I took my time and got a pot of coffee brewing.  When I went up a few minutes later to get him out of his crib, I noticed his face was covered in specks of something.  Then I saw that his mouth was full of chips of paint from the crib!  Apparently he was entertaining himself by chewing the side rail, and in just a few minutes, really scarred it up.  So I want to get some of the crib rail protectors as soon as possible, but I've been looking all morning, and can't find anything that is made for curved side rails.  I've seen the straight rail ones, but I don't know if they would be long enough to tie over the thick parts of the rails on the crib we have.  This is the only picture I have that shows the crib, but you can kind of see what I mean by the rail shape.

Anyone ever purchase or make something for side rails like this?  The front rail is potentially a problem, too, since it's so thick.  I know standard bumper ties (which we didn't use) weren't made long enough to tie around it.  TIA!
