I'm a minivan driver now.

It feels so weird but you know what? I kinda love it.

It's SO easy to get him in and out of the car (for now) and it's so roomy!

We ended up with an '06 Grand Caravan- one owner, 45k miles, less than $10k. We only intend to use it until the kids are old enough to be in boosters and buckle themselves in (5?) and then we're going to look into a brand new crossover, SUV, or possibly another van if I'm in love.

So, I'm a convert. From a small "sporty" car to a minivan in a matter of hours, lol.

  • Congrats- I guess?! Lol. ;) I thought of you yesterday- I got a new embroidery design that says "Double Double Toil & Trouble". I will need to make it for you next year for the girls for Halloween. ;)

Absolutely!! I'm so excited for cute things like that. As soon as we decide on names I'll be emailing you. ;)

I don't know a ton about minivans but that sounds like a steal.

    Anniversary
  • I am actually jealous. I wish I would have gotten a minivan instead of a Ford Flex :-(
  • I love my minivan!!  I love the power doors and the tons of space!!  We usually leave part of the 3rd row folded down so I have a place to change the girls diapers if I need to.  Have you decided where you are going to put Nolan once the girls arrive??
  • Sounds like a great deal. I would love a minivan, but that's my main excuse to not have any more kids, so no minivan for us.

Not really. I am pretty adament about keeping him RF until he's 2 so it's possible he'll go in a captain seat until then and then once he's 2 he'll turn around and go in the back middle... then he can watch the DVD player too. ;)

I think we're going to have to wait until we have the other carseats to see what works!

You'll most likely have to remove one of the captains seats and put the twins in the third row and have him RFing in the second row.  We thought about doing that to keep Abby RFing those last 3 months, but then just made the decision to turn her because I couldn't get the infant seat to the third row after the c/s.
