Is anyone else celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend? We're heading to DH's parent's for the weekend. They're Ukrainian so the food is always fabulous! I can't wait!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Re: Thanksgiving
I am! Tomorrow I'll make my pumpkin pie and pick up my turkey, then Sunday is the big day.
It'll be me, my 2 flatmates and the fella. I'm so excited. I did it last year (my first time) and it turned out really well. The boy has never had a Thanksgiving so I hope I do it well.
I can't freakin wait for stuffing. My mom mailed me savoury to make it (apparantly you only get savoury in Canada, more specifically it's an East Coast thing).
I am!
Happy Thanksgiving weekend!
I haven't decided yet what I will make. I'd love to do a turkey, but I should have ordered it already. Impossible to find a whole turkey here before Christmas. I think I'll just get a whole chicken or do a seafood meal.

What is savoury? All I can think of is the herb...
It is the herb, but dried I guess. I assumed that it would be as well known as say, oregano. But apparently not. It probably looked like my mom was trying to mail me weed lol.
I think I'm going to go buy me a small turkey.. I miss celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving. It's still so weird to have to wait until the end of November for our Turkey Dinner. Since I'm pregnant this year I'm using that as my excuse.
I have a good use for the extra turkey meat as well, since I make croquet's with it. It's a dutch thing, so I'm sure the ladies in the Netherlands know what I'm talking about. Whatever else is left after that get's used for casserole's.

Happy Thanksgiving!
And I know what savory is. Definitely part of the deliciousness.
Happy Thanksgiving to the Canadians!
One year, my cruise finished up on the Sunday before Canadian Thanksgiving, but we couldn't get a flight home until Tuesday, so we celebrated Thanksgiving twice that year -- once in Montreal with smoked meat and once at home with turkey and all the trimmings.
Hope you all have a great celebration!
Happy Thanksgiving, ladies!
(P.S. I know what savory is and I've never been to Canada.)
