Edmund is back in surgery and we won't know anything for an hour or 2. I can't even describe what is going through my head right now. The first part was horrible. We waited for what seemed like forever for the doctors to come talk to us individually. We checked in at noon and they didn't take him back until 2.
I'm just going to update this thread periodically when we know something. I'll just edit the title.
Update 1: He is stable and doing well.
Update 2: He is out of surgery! It went really well. We are now just waiting for him to be released from recovery.

I've obviously never been in your situation, but even when D has procedures (often; generally not surgery), the unknowns and scary possibilities and my own fear of sedation are hard negatives to keep at bay and when it's your baby it must be so much harder. Just think -- after this, he'll be halfway there!

I can't imagine how horrid it must be to just have to WAIT and SIT. *hugs* but you're all 3 doing so well! And his lip will be closed after this, so yay!

1st year anniversary in Victoria with a killer whale topiary!
He will have the palate surgery in about 6 months. That one is going to be more intensive than this one.
