Grey's Anatomy questions
1) I think I missed something. Why is Bailey so cold to Owen? I get that she's upset with Meredith, and doesn't like that Chief Richard took the bullet for her. I don't know why she's upset with Owen. Did something else happen?
2) I watch the GA reruns during the week. I never really noticed that Derek is grumpy A LOT. Has anyone noticed that? I get that drama has happened. When he decided to stay with Addison he was grumpy. When He's trying to get Meredith he's happy. Then when he's with her again he's grumpy. I really, really hope they don't break them up in the end. I'm going to want to watch reruns when they come on. I might not want to though knowing they don't stay together in the end if they break them up. After everything!

Richard has led Bailey to believe that she will replace him, and that's why she has stuck around in general surgery rather than furthering her career.
Now, why she blames Owen is beyond me. Did she think he should have rejected it or something?
Bailey is too young/inexperienced to be chief yet, but Richard HAS been grooming her for it.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Bailey is pissed at everyone that is okay with going along with the Chief taking the fall for Mer, or for anyone that is mad that Mer got in trouble at all.
Owen is the biggest example of saying "Hey, Mer did something really sh!tty. I mean, she completely ruined Derek's career, but she did it for a good cause! Just get over it already." Not only is Owen seemingly okay with what Mer did, he's letting it further his career.
I get why she's pissed. I also get why Derek is pissed though and I'm in no rush for him to just suddenly get over it. Like last season when everyone was annoyed that Cristina didn't get over her PTSD in two episodes, I'd be more annoyed if they were just all of a sudden cool with everything than if they spent half the season developing the character and storyline.
As for Derek's angsty-ness, there was the episode where Derek's mom visited and she gave Mer her blessing by saying something like 'Derek sees the world in black and white and you help him see the shades of grey' He's always either in an awesome mood or a terrible mood. Rarely is he somewhere in-between.
Bailey expected to be Chief and Owen got it.
Derek is pissed because Meredith screwed with his trial and ruined it and got fired for it. Then she lied to the adoption placement woman and hid Zola so she wouldn't get taken away. All that caused them to lose custody of Zola.
