Late to the party: Friday Night Lights
My husband and I just started watching season 1 (thanks, instant queue) this past week. We love it! Where has Coach Taylor been all my life?

FNL is SO amazing. I am still very sad not only because it ended but because it never got the recognition it deserved.
The good thing though is that now we can start all over again from season 1, which I loved.

the movie is still a "maybe" from what i've read, they are working on a script
you will love the series, season 2 starts a bit rough but 3, 4, and 5 are all excellent. I cried so much watching that show, it is one of the best television shows ever.
and it did get SOME recognition at this year's emmys. Best writing and best male lead in a drama.

Yes. Not enough. I just felt it deserved more. And not just due to a lack of awards but I mean just recognition as being one of the "hyped up" shows that everyone ends up hearing about and dying to watch. It just felt like a really good secret!
(I did really want Connie to win the Emmy too though. I was so ready for her speech.)

I just started watching it as well and LOVE it! The storylines are amazing, the characters are so *real* and it's a show with so much heart. I've watched seasons 1 and 2 so far and am waiting for 3 and 4 to come through from the library. I'm devouring them as fast as I possibly can, which I know will be something I regret later because it'll be done too soon.
Oh, and I posted on Facebook the other day that I felt dirty for having a crush on 17-year old Tim Riggins, but I console myself with the fact that the actor is only 5 days younger than me.
