New dad funny
So when I went to see my new niece in the hospital (I love that I'm an aunt now!) her dad was trying to wake her up because he wanted me to see her eyes (trust me, I told him and my sis over and over "don't wake a sleeping baby, I can wait" but they wouldn't have it lol) he lays her on the bed and lightly rubs her belly trying to get her to wake up. (She is out cold mind you) and while doing so he decides to check her diaper. Thinking it's wet he proceeds to pull the pajama's she is wearing DOWN OVER HER SHOULDERS. Keep in mind, as with most baby cloths, this is open at the bottom, it's like a little sleeping dress lol. the more he trys to pull it down over her shoulders the more she slides down the bed.
I didn't want to say anything (I just met him that night and didn;t want to start off with "you know there is a better way to do that"), I was just watching him as well as my sister, who was also watching him. The look on her face was priceless. He obviously didn't know that he could just lift it up over her waist from the bottom. He is 23 and my sister just turned 20, they are younger and she is the baby herself not to mention the fact that this was 24 hours after the baby was born and neither of them had been able to sleep yet.
Once he gets it down to the middle of her arms, and had moved her back up the bed about 5 times my sister says "babe...you do know you can just change her diaper from the bottom...that's why it's OPEN." He looked so dumbfounded it was so sweet and hilarious at the same time. So he starts to slide it back up!! lol My sister says "Well you can't go backwords now!!! Just take it off" LMAO.
It was so hard not to fall on the floor laughing. And the baby? She slept through the whole thing. And the diaper? Not even wet. lol
