Hotels and Things to Do

Hi ladies.  I am taking my husband to an Eagles / Cowboys game for his birthday on October 30th.  I would like to stay over that night and then do something things around town the next day.

I was thinking maybe stay in Rittenhouse Square area or Independence Park area?  He is from Alaska so he's never been to Philly to see the "Liberty Bell or Art Museum or anything else for that matter.

Any and all suggestions on a good hotel that would be in a good place in walking distance of places as wel as suggestions of things to do. We will only have one day.

 Thanks in advance.

Re: Hotels and Things to Do

  • Are you coming in on Saturday to sigh see or staying through till Monday?
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Staying through until Monday since the game isn't until 8:30 so it will be late but if I can find a really good rate possibly staying Saturday and Sunday night but def Sunday.  Thanks.

  • What is your budget for a hotel?

You can take the Broad Street Subway to the stadium - so it might be helpful to stay near Broad Street, the Marriot Courtyard is nice, as is the nearby Marriot, and Loews hotel (all on or just off of Market Street and Broad - where City Hall is, the "center" of center city).
