  • I'm here, watching the baseball game.

I just watched a ridiculous and unnecessary celebration by the Brewers- um, you won 1 series, and it wasn't the world series, I'm pretty sure repeatedly screaming "f*ck yeah!" on television is frowned upon.  Terrible sportsmanship.

I'm also watching baseball tonight. While I do agree that the cursing on TV was out of line and in poor taste, I disagree with it being a ridiculous and unnecessary celebration. The Brewers did win one series, but it was a series that hasn't been won since 1982. Forgive us if we're a little excited. I'm sure whichever team wins this evening will have a pretty rowdy celebration too.

    You're allowed to disagree.

FWIW, I've watched my team (and others) win many, many playoff series and they've never behaved with such poor sportsmanship- not even when they actually did win the World Series.

Which part, aside from the language, was so upsetting to you? I was a little sidetracked immediately following so I may have missed something.

I'm happy that your team has had so much post season success. The Brewers don't get to this spot very often so when they do, they're going to celebrate.

I was specifically watching the mounting of the bullpen and the screaming so much that the reporter couldn't interview anyone else, then refusing to be interviewed himself.  It is nice that they won for the players on the team and the fans, but there's a way to handle it that isn't making a mess of all of the coverage/ cursing/ disrespecting the team you played AND your own teammates.

And it isn't about a team's number of post season successes- I watched the Red Sox beat the Cardinals in St. Louis in 2004 and they behaved with infinitely more class.   They hadn't won a World Series in 86 years.  Makes 1982 seem like yesterday, huh?

In Nyjer's defense, the reporter was shoving the mic in his face trying to get to him. Still not excusing the choice of language.

    But, we'll agree to disagree.

The TBS coverage I saw the reporter was trying to interview Ryan Braun and Morgan jumped on top of him screaming "f*ck yeah!!!", then they had to cut away for language, then he mounted the bullpen, screaming, then he was back on the field and she tried to interview him when he continued to curse then walked away.

But sure, let's just say it was unsportsmanlike conduct and move on.

A Boston team with class?  Shocker.

I know, I even texted Jill to tell her I said something nice about the Red Sox (2004 still pains me a great deal).
