Wednesday night I was literally up all night unable to sleep. So, what did I do? Watched a couple more episodes of Up All Night to see if I could give it a go.
I just can't. There are a lot of things I think are cute about the show, but Will Arnett's character is just a bit to "dumb" to related to, at all.
And the thing about that show that really drives me bonkers is their use of time. I guess I'm just too detail oriented to see past it.
When the cool neighbors had a party - the party started at 10:45. The baby was still awake at 12. Chris calls the cops but because he leaves his name, they decide they have to go to the party. So she "calls a sitter" (AT MIDNIGHT?!?!?!) and her coworker shows up all bright-eyed and bushy tailed to watch the baby...???
That's just one example, but there have been quite a few from that episode and others. It just makes it too hard for me to get into the storyline.
Re: Up All Night
I understand everything in your post!
I really anticipated this show and wanted to love it. I don't love it. But I don't hate it either. I don't really LOL but I like Christina and the concept of the show. I'm keeping it for now and deleted 2 Broke Girls, Whitney and Free Agents.
ETA: Ohh yeah now I remember the post that Free Agents was cancelled anyway. lol

I actually liked Free Agents better than Up All Night, but I stopped watching both of them. I really just think this show is horrible.
I read somewhere that they changed parts of the show and gave Maya's character a bigger part after Bridesmaids came out. I think originally Reagan and Ava were coworkers in public relations. I think they rushed out the changes and hopefully the show will get better with time.
I really hope they tweak Will Arnett's character. I just can't believe that guy would have been a successful layer after watching the episode where he bought the fancy underwear.
This exactly for us too.
I think Will Arnett's part is the only funny thing on the entire show, and even that isn't in the least bit realistic. You have a baby at home that's old enough to pretty much be down to 1-2 naps a day, but you have time to master new cooking techniques, work out, go shopping for fancy underwear, meet up with your Mr Mom friends, AND take her out to the park, in one day. Um, no, you don't.
I don't think their attempts to be cool are all that funny, nor do I think people that age would try to be accepted by emo neighbors in their early 20s. And I REALLY don't think Maya Rudolph's character is funny, at. all.
