Hi All,
Just a quick post to let you all know that our little guy, Dylan, came early. I went in for my 37 week appt and was officially dx'd with pre-e (I'd been borderline before the appt). I got transported to the hospital and induced. I'd hoped for as natural a labor as possible, but I ended up getting the opposite: pitocin, magnesium, fetal monitoring that had me mostly stuck in bed, docs rupturing membranes to avoid a section and then an epidural. As an added bonus, I also got a fever from an infection from the ruptured membranes and had to push him out with a temp of 101 after 24+ hours of labor. Pure awesomeness.
He came out kind of blue (courtesy of the mag, apparently) and because of my infection got a short (4 hr) stint in NICU and some antibiotics. We had an extended 5 day stay in the hospital (tricare will probably love that one) mostly due to complications of mine for the pre-e.
The good news is that we're both fine now, though it was a bit of a rocky start. I've been sort of incommunicado due to the lack of sleep and my MIL staying in the room this computer is in (btw, I'm totally paying bills now if she asks, lol)
Here is a picture from 3am last night

Re: Guess Who Came A Little Early? (BR)
Love the name, especially the spelling! Dillon always freaks me out.
Congrats!
I changed my name
He is a cutie!! Congratulations!
Congrats on delivering such a cute little boy! I am so sorry about your deliver and pre-e. It sucks. The mag drip is from hell. I hope you are feeling better now! I'm glad your doctor caught it and was proactive (my civilian doctor sucked and, IMO, because of him, things were worse than they should have been).
Take extra good care of yourself and that sweet boy!
My BP has, unfortunately, been hanging out on the high end. Was 141/99 last Thurs, more than a week post delivery. They put me on BP meds and now its doing awesome (110/78). Apparently I'm one of the lucky ducks that the BP takes its sweet time going back down for. Did you have that happen?
I'm doing my best with my little bugger. Unfortunately we've both managed to get a cold. Its a minor one for me, but of course its hard to know our little 6 pounder is having trouble breathing.
